A wick for an anesthetic evaporator is provided as a dimensionally stable wick body () transporting anesthetic by means of capillary force is provided. The wick body comprises a hollow cylinder as well as webs by which a gas-carrying cavity is formed.

An adapter is provided for adapting an absorber container () to a breathing system. A seal () is employed that has sealing surfaces (), which extend in a jacket area () of a valve crater (), which limits an outer gas channel. The seal () is provided between the absorber container () and the adapter.

A quick connection system between an anesthesia respiration system and an absorber has a gas-tight connection between the anesthesia respiration system and the absorber. The absorber () has a concentrically arranged gas inlet opening () and a gas outlet opening () on its front side () for this purpose, as well as a guide plate () that can be pushed into an absorber mount at the anesthesia respiration system. Centering notches (), which engage a centering pin at the absorber mount, are provided at the guide plate () in the direction of pushing in.

A device for controlling respirating gas in an anaesthesia or respiratory apparatus contains a multiplicity of control elements. Each control element has a control chamber with control lines and a respirating gas chamber with respiratory gas lines, the control chamber and respirating gas chamber being separated from one another by a closure element. The respirating gas chambers and the control chambers are combined with each other so that as few component parts as possible have to be disassembled and assembled to facilitate cleaning and disinfection. For this purpose, the control chambers are combined into one control block and the respirating gas chambers are combined into one respirating gas block, such that the two blocks can be coupled together into a unit with a common sealing plate defining closure elements. The control chambers and respirating gas chambers are separated and yet are arranged so that the control chambers coact with corresponding ones of the respirating gas chambers.

Device for controlling respirating gas in an anaesthesia or respiratory

A gas dosing device for medical apparatus uses electrical control signals for connecting a gas supply under pressure through a pressure reducer to an outlet which is connected to the use load for the gas. The device includes a buffer connected between the gas source and the outlet and a reversing valve connected to the buffer and to the outlet. A pressure valve connected to the buffer and to the outlet. A pressure chamber is connected to the buffer and a measuring chamber is connected to the reversing valve. A differential pressure transducer has one connection to the pressure chamber and another to the measuring chamber and thus receives a differential of the pressure between these chambers. A control is connected to the reversing valve and to the differential pressure transducer and in accordance with the pressure which it senses in that transducer it shifts the reversing valve so that it shifts the connection of the measuring transducer to the buffer to a connection of the measuring chamber to the outlet in accordance with the pressure in the pressure transducer.
