A nozzle for spraying surfaces is equipped with a piston rod centrally arranged in a feeding duct. The piston rod has an impact plate which is held by a spring in a position aligned with the surface to be sprayed. As a result of liquid pressure, the impact plate arrives in a second end position at a distance from the surface to be sprayed in which. As a result of a ring gap on an input side around the piston rod, the impact plate becomes a deflecting part for the spraying liquid exiting in a ring shape, which, in a circular spraying cone directed at a flat angle with respect to the surface to be sprayed, is then emitted onto the surface to be sprayed.

Nozzle for spraying a surface and method of spraying

Process and apparatus for spraying a moving fibrous web with at least one jet. The process includes feeding a controlled volume flow of a spray agent to the at least one jet through at least one pulsing valve, and damping and reducing pulses occurring in the controlled volume flow of the spray agent. The apparatus includes at least one jet arranged to be fed with a controlled volume flow of a spray agent, at least one pulsing valve which feeds the controlled volume flow of the spray agent to said at least one jet, and at least one pulse damper arranged to damp or reduce pulses occurring in the controlled volume flow of the spray agent.

Process and device for spraying a moving fibrous web

Known high-pressure spray nozzles tend to develop wear at outlet edges for a flat stream because of fluid emerging at very high pressure. It has already been proposed to provide, on the nozzle bodies, instead of transverse continuous outwardly open groove-shaped cuts, outlet channels with a cross-sectional pattern that expands outward trumpetwise in an elliptical shape or to prevent any contact between the nozzle body and the high-pressure stream at the outlet edge. It is now proposed to provide the outlet channel with an elliptical cross section, with expansion of the cross section exclusively in the direction of the major semiaxis but with no increase in dimension in the direction of the minor semiaxis. In this way, the flat stream to be formed can be guided and held together without wear at an outlet edge. The nozzle can be used as a high-pressure flat stream nozzle for de-scaling.

High-pressure spray nozzle

A scrubbing apparatus for separating gaseous or particulate contents, especially from flue gas, using a plurality of spin spray nozzles arranged such that adjacent spray nozzles have a different spin. Double spin spray nozzles can be used that produce oppositely aimed spray jets of different spin.

Purification device for separating gaseous or particulate constituents from gas streams

A flat-jet nozzle for atomizing liquids into comparatively large drops and comprising a nozzle housing with an axial feed passing through it with a multiple stepped diameter, this feed being provided at its end with a nozzle discharge slit. Moreover an inset with a central throttling bore is mounted in the liquid feed between the liquid intake and the discharge slit. A cylindrical central zone of a larger diameter than the discharge slit is present in the liquid feed in the nozzle housing. The inset is provided with a deflector through which the liquid jet issuing from the throttling bore into the central zone is forced, preferably bilaterally, toward the large axis of the nozzle discharge slit.

Flat-jet nozzle to atomize liquids into comparatively coarse drops

A binary atomizing flat-jet nozzle with rectangle characteristic comprises a mixing head forming a mixing chamber with two mutually orthogonal connectors for a gaseous and a liquid medium, further a preferably tubular connector connecting to those connectors and a snout forming the slitted nozzle discharge. A metering inset with a cylindrical blind bore is mounted in the second connector supplying the liquid, the blind bore issuing inside the mixing chamber bilaterally into cross-bores. The snout comprises an offset bore with arched bottom. A baffle with a sharp-edged central transmission aperture rests on the bore offset and comprises an inside diameter less than the diameter of the offset snout bore. A nozzle with the above features is characterized by its simple design, easy manufacture and very uniform liquid distribution (so-called rectangle characteristic).

Binary flat-jet nozzle for atomizing liquids

Device which serves to atomize a solid or liquid medium with the aid of a standing ultrasonic wave that is generated between two ultrasonic transmitters. This allows one to tune the standing ultrasonic wave automatically when the temperature of the medium or other process parameters should change.

Device for ultrasonic atomization of a liquid medium

An ultrasonic atomizer for liquids comprises a piezoelectric transducer (16) mechanically coupled to an amplitude transformer (20), an atomizing disk (21) mounted to the free end of the amplitude transformer (20), a housing (22) enclosing at least the amplitude transformer (20) and a cap (30) supporting a sieve-like diaphragm (31). The cap (30) is so mounted to the housing (22) that the diaphragm (31) rests on the atomizing disk (21). The cap (30) consists of two mutually concentric cap parts (32, 33) of which one (32) supports the diaphragm (31) and the second (33) serves to mount the entire cap (30) on the housing (22). A spring (36) is so mounted between the two cap parts (32, 33) that the sieve-like diaphragm (31) is held elastically against the atomizing disk (21) and that the opposing force from the spring (36) thereby is transmitted into the second cap part (33) fixed in the housing. Such a liquid-atomizer is characterized in that the diaphragm (31) always rests with a precisely defined prestressing on the atomizing disk (21), whereby operational reliablity heretofore not yet achieved with the previous ultrasonic liquid atomizers is obtained.
