The present disclosure provides a method for producing a magnetic powder and the use of a waste magnetic material for producing isotropic or anisotropic magnets. The method including providing a waste magnetic material including a waste magnetic chemical composition, analyzing the waste magnetic material to obtain information about the waste magnetic chemical composition thereof, adjusting the waste magnetic chemical composition to a target magnetic chemical composition to obtain an adjusted waste magnetic material, and atomizing the adjusted waste magnetic material to obtain the magnetic powder.

Method for producing a magnetic powder

A manufacturing method of a sintered magnet is described. The method includes forming a pre-sintering body from a first magnetic powder and a second magnetic powder (containing a heavy rare earth element, HRE) so that at least part of the second magnetic powder is provided at at least one inner portion of the pre-sintering body and surrounded format least two opposite sides by the first magnetic powder; sintering the pre-sintering body; and annealing the sintered pre-sintering body at an annealing temperature lower than the sintering temperature, thereby causing inter-grain diffusion of HRE from the HRE reservoir zone to the grain boundary phase. After the annealing, the grain boundary phase contains the HRE in a higher concentration than the main phase.

Permanent magnet with inter-grain heavy-rare-earth element, and method of producing same

A method for manufacturing a multicomponent permanent magnet, and a multicomponent permanent magnet are proposed. The multicomponent permanent magnet has a first permanent magnet having a R-T-B-composition, wherein R is at least one selected from the group consisting of Y, Ce, La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu and Gd and T is one or more transition metal elements including Fe; and a second permanent magnet having a R-T-B-composition, wherein R is at least one selected from the group consisting of Y, Ce, La, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu and Gd and T is one or more transition metal elements including Fe, the second magnet including at least one of a heavy rare earth element (HRE) and an increased amount of Ce and/or Co, the second magnet having different magnetic properties, in particular a higher coercivity, than the first magnet. The first magnet and the second magnet are connected mechanically, wherein the connection is electrically conductive with an adjusted electrical resistivity.

Multicomponent magnet assemblies for electrical machines

A sintered magnet, the sintered magnet including a core portion, a shell portion arranged at an outer part of the sintered magnet, and a diffusion portion arranged at least partially between the core portion and the shell portion. The shell portion has a coercivity, which is at least 30 kA/m larger than the coercivity of the core portion. In the diffusion portion, the coercivity is not less than the coercivity of the core portion and not larger than the coercivity of the shell portion and the value of the coercivity gradually increases from the core portion towards the shell portion. The thickness of the core portion is not less than 1 mm and the total thickness of the shell portion and the diffusion portion is at least 5 mm.

An electrical switch assembly includes a contact element to be moved towards a further contact element for generating an electrical connection; and a drive for moving the contact element; wherein the drive includes a plunger with a connection member interconnected with the contact element; wherein the plunger includes a mechanical structure with a top side to which the connection member is connection, and a bottom side opposite to the top side; wherein the drive includes a Thomas coil for moving the plunger via an electrically conducting top face, which is provided on the top side and an electrically conducting bottom face, which is provided on the bottom side. The mechanical structure includes at least one channel between the top side and the bottom side, the at least one channel extending transverse to a movement direction of the plunger. Furthermore, the mechanical structure fills less than 50% of a volume between the top side and the bottom side.
