This invention relates to silicone compositions suitable for forining pressure sensitive adhesives. More particularly, the present invention relates to solventless curable PSA compositions suitable for forming pressure sensitive adhesive compositions having improved high temperature cohesive strength while maintaining good tack and adhesive properties.

Preferred solid particles include zeolite and sulfate ionomers of aminofunctional siloxanes. The present invention is novel organofunctional polysiloxane and organofunctional cyclosiloxane compositions and a process for their preparation. The process for preparation of these siloxane compositions comprises contacting a mixture containing a cyclo(organohydrogen)siloxane or a poly(organohydrogen)siloxane, a mono-.alpha.-olefin, and a .alpha.,.OMEGA.-triene with a platinum catalyst, at a temperature within a range of 50.degree. C. to 200.degree. C. The products of this process are cross-linked organofunctional polysiloxanes and cross-linked organofunctional cyclosiloxanes.

Cross-linked organofunctional polysiloxanes and method for preparation

Hot-melt silicone pressure sensitive adhesive compositions containing alkylmethylsiloxane waxes and methods of using the compositions are disclosed. The hot-melt silicone pressure sensitive adhesive compositions include a mixture of (i) a silicate resin, (ii) a silicone fluid, and (iii) an alkylmethylsiloxane wax having a melting point of between 30.degree. The present invention is novel chlorine end-terminated organosiloxanes and a hydrosilylation process for their preparation. The process comprises contacting a chlorine end-terminated (organohydrogen)siloxane and an .alpha.-olefin in the presence of a platinum catalyst, at a temperature of 50.degree. C. to 200.degree. C. The products of this process are chlorine end-terminated organosiloxanes.

Siloxy-functional cyclopolysiloxanes

The present invention is novel cross-linked organofunctional polysiloxane and organofunctional cyclosiloxane compositions and a process for their preparation. The process for preparation of these siloxane compositions comprises contacting a mixture comprising a poly(organohydrogen)siloxane or a cyclo(organohydrogen)siloxane, a alpha,omega-triene, and a triorganosilyl source with a platinum catalyst, at a temperature within a range of 50.degree. C. to 200.degree. C. The products of this process are cross-linked organofunctional polysiloxanes and cross-linked organofunctional cyclosiloxanes. The triorganosilyl source added to the process provides for control of the amount of cross-linking of the organofunctional polysiloxanes and cyclosiloxanes independent of the level of organofunctionality.
