A DC/DC converter has an active energy store, such as an inductance, which can be periodically charged and discharged by one or more semiconductor switches, such as transistors. To avoid voltage overshoot, an RCD element is provided for at least one semiconductor switch, wherein a capacitor and a diode of the RCD element are connected in series, and a resistor of the RCD element can be connected either in parallel with the diode or disconnected from the diode by a switch. The diode of the RCD element is arranged so as to be blocking in the conducting direction of the semiconductor switch.

The invention relates to a method for operating an inverter comprising a step-up device which is upstream-connected by means of an intermediate circuit and is connectable to a direct-current source with a variable reference sampling current wherein said inverter and the step-up device are provided with an efficiency optimizing working area, respectively. When the variable reference sampling current is raised and the step-up device approaches a pulse duty factor value, the intermediate circuit voltage is reduced and the variable reference sampling current is stabilized, said intermediate circuit voltage is re-raised. When the direct-current source is in a permanent operational state, the inverter and the step-up device operate in the efficiency optimizing working area thereof, respectively.

Method for operating an inverter having a step-up device connected upstream

There is described a powering unit comprising at least one transformer, at least one full bridge circuit via which a primary winding of the transformer is connected to a direct current voltage input, a secondary winding for triggering an output circuit with an output direct current voltage via a bridge-type rectifier circuit as well as an output choke coil and an output capacitor, and a discharge circuit consisting a diode, for a capacitor and of a resistor for reducing the secondary-side peak voltages. The powering unit has another secondary winding, another bridge-type rectifier circuit and another discharge circuit operable to trigger the output circuit with part of the output direct current voltage via the output choke coil and the output capacitor. Thus, there are fewer losses in the resistors and the performance is enhanced.

The invention relates to a voltage converter for converting a primary/secondary voltage into a secondary/primary voltage, comprising at least one controlled switch, wherein a control circuit controls, according to its supplied set points, the at least one controlled switch with a variable pulse duty factor and/or variable control times and/or variable frequency. The invention further comprises a digital signal processor for the running calculation of the set values for the control circuit, and the voltage converter comprises a (bus) interface via which operating parameters can, from an external control center, be transmitted to the digital signal processor and preset.
