An apparatus is provided for retaining a production level device for use with an automated testing device for testing personal computer components. The apparatus includes an extrusion having a first portion for receiving the production level device and a second portion for attaching the extrusion to the automated test device. The apparatus also includes a moldable fastener for precisely fastening the production-level device to the first portion.

Apparatus and method for enabling auto-insertion of production level devices

An apparatus including a plurality of bodies with a first one of the bodies being spaced apart from a second one of the bodies. A retaining member extends through the first one of the bodies. A first end of the retaining member is maintained in fixed relationship with respect to the second one of the bodies. A head on a second end of the retaining member is provided. The head includes a self-centering portion engaging a mating self-centering portion attached to the first one of the bodies. A resilient member is engaged between the first one of the bodies and the second one of the bodies for biasing the self-centering portion of the first one of the bodies into engagement with the mating self-centering portion of the head.

Through connector circuit test apparatus

An adjustable clamp for testing PC cards includes a base member having a planar surface and raised guides spaced apart to define a plurality of slots. A clamp member includes a plurality of spaced apart ribs seated for lateral movement in the slots. A fastener, which is removable, extends through the base member and the clamp member. The fastener is adjustable for moving the ribs laterally in the slots and retaining the clamp member on the base member. In this manner, a plurality of PC cards are retained between the raised guides and the ribs and maintained in a straightened configuration for insertion into respective circuit board connectors during testing of the circuit board.

A test fixture including a fixture body and a self-centering or floating connector body positioned adjacent to a first side of the fixture body. The connector body is made of a polymeric material. Spaced apart sleeves extending through the fixture body. A first end of each one of the sleeves includes a threaded portion engaged with a corresponding threaded portion in the connector body. Each one of the sleeves defines a respective longitudinal axis. A head is attached to a second end of each one of the sleeves. Each head includes a tapered portion engaging a tapered seat provided on a second side of the fixture body. An alignment pin extends axially through each one of the sleeves along the respective longitudinal axis. Each pin includes a shaft, a flange attached to the shaft and an end protruding from the connector body. A first spring member is axially carried by each pin. Each first spring is compressed between the flange of the respective pin and the fixture body. A second spring member is axially is carried by each one of the sleeves. Each second spring is compressed between the fixture body and the connector body. The connector body exhibits a floating action during engagement with a connector of a device being tested. The connector body is also self-centering such that it accurately and reliably returns to a nominal position when disengaged from the device being tested.

A hold-down finger for holding a circuit board in a test fixture. The hold-down finger includes an attachment portion and a finger. The attachment portion is for attaching the hold-down finger to the test fixture. The attachment portion has a central axis. The finger is coupled to the attachment portion at a location displaced from the central axis of the attachment portion. Displacing the finger from the central axis allows for the tip of the finger to be located more precisely in a radial manner about the center point of the device to hold a circuit board down against the extreme pressures of test probe springs.

There is disclosed a tracing light for a saber saw in which the light source is located on the shoe of the saber saw, immediately adjacent the cut line marked on the work piece. In one embodiment, the light source is the terminal end of a fiber optic transmission tube which communicates with a light source mounted at another location on the saber saw. In an alternative embodiment, the light source is within a housing that is secured or supported directly on the shoe of the saber saw, with the light emitting element, either an incandescent bulb or a light emitting diode, located immediately adjacent the cut line of the work piece.

The improvement in the frontal support comprises at least one support post extending upwardly and rearwardly from the eyeglass structure. This invention comprises a focused light attachment for use with a portable power-driven hand saw, particularly a saber saw. The invention comprises a light source such as an electric lamp with a suitable electrical power source and a focusing mechanism for projecting a very narrow beam of light. The light source and focusing mechanism is mounted on the front of the hand saw and is positioned to project its narrow light beam a substantial distance in front of the saw blade so that it can be used to trace or follow a previously scribed saw line. The tracing light can be used in combination with a flood light that is mounted also on the front of the saw housing and positioned to flood the area surrounding the saw blade with illumination. Most preferably, the tracing light and its focusing mechanism are mounted permanently within the housing of a saber saw.

There is disclosed a sanitary disposable sheath intended for wearing on the penis of males which is formed with a moisture absorbent pad to absorb excretions and urine. The sheath is intended for use by normal, healthy males and not as a prosthetic device, and a method of use is also disclosed and claimed. Preferably, the sheath is formed as a laminate of an outer moisture resistant sheath and an inner, coextensive, moisture permeable liner, with an intermediate moisture absorbent pad. The sheath is provided with either an elastic band closure about its neck, or Velcro type fabric attachment bands to retain it distally on a penis.
