Methods and apparatus to align a seat ring in a valve are described. An example fluid valve includes a valve body having a curved internal surface to receive a seat ring and a seat ring having a sealing surface to receive a movable control member and a curved surface opposite the sealing surface to engage the curved internal surface of the valve body.

A seal assembly is provided for a rotary ball valve having a top-mounted bonnet, thereby allowing the seal assembly to be installed and removed without removing the valve from the pipeline. In an embodiment, the seal assembly may include a seal ring disposed within the valve interior and biased toward the ball element of the valve. A seal carrier may be disposed between the seal ring and the valve body, and the seal carrier may be removably secured to the valve body by a plurality of bolts disposed in the valve interior. A primary leak path may exists between the seal ring and the seal carrier and a secondary leak path may exists between the seal carrier and the valve body. A first and second auxiliary seal may prevent fluid flow through the primary and secondary leak path, respectively.

A seal assembly is provided for a rotary ball valve having a top-mounted bonnet, thereby allowing the seal assembly to be installed and removed without removing the valve from the pipeline. Apparatus and methods for manual override operation of a linear actuator are described. An example apparatus includes a base to be mounted to an actuator. A drive member is operatively coupled to the base and selectively engagable to a stem of the actuator to enable manual operation of the actuator in a first direction and a second direction.

A seal assembly in a rotary ball valve is installable and replaceable through a bonnet opening in a valve body of the rotary ball valve. The seal assembly includes an anchor ring located in an internal recess in the valve body and one or more seal assembly components, such as a flexible seal member, a seal carrier, a seal retainer, and a rigid seal ring, are secured to the anchor ring.

Axial flow control valves are described herein. An example axial flow control valve described herein includes a valve body defining a passageway between an inlet and an outlet that is substantially parallel to a fluid flow path at the inlet and the outlet of the valve body. The example control valve includes a cartridge assembly removably coupled to the valve body and disposed within the passageway of the valve body between the inlet and the outlet. The cartridge assembly is substantially axially aligned with the passageway and includes a motor to operate the axial flow control valve between a first position to prevent the flow of fluid between the inlet and the outlet and a second position to allow the flow of fluid between the inlet and the outlet.

An improved laundry appliance is provided wherein the door is mounted to a shroud, separate from the front and top panels of the cabinet. Therefore, during manufacturing assembly or repair work, the door can be shut and the operation of the appliance tested with the front and top panels removed from the appliance. After the operational testing is completed, the front and top panels can be installed to the remaining cabinet panels.
