The invention provides an apparatus for polymer chromatography, comprising at least one column that comprises a first stationary phase comprising one of the following: A) a material comprising at least one non-carbon atom, excluding glass or a metal, selected from molybdenum sulfide MoS2, tungsten sulfide WS2, silicon carbide SiC, boron nitride BN, or combinations thereof, or B) glass, or a metal, or combinations thereof, and a material comprising at least one non-carbon atom selected from molybdenum sulfide MoS2, tungsten sulfide WS2, silicon carbide SiC, boron nitride BN, or combinations thereof. The invention also provides a method for polymer chromatography, comprising introducing a solution, comprising a polymer, into a liquid flowing through a first stationary phase, and wherein the first stationary phase comprises one of foregoing materials (A) or (B).

Chromatography of polymers

The instant invention is a high-density polyethylene composition, method of producing the same, articles made therefrom, and method of making such articles. The high-density polyethylene composition of the instant invention includes a first component, and a second component. The first component is a high molecular weight ethylene alpha-olefin copolymer having a density in the range of 0.915 to 0.940 g/cm, and a melt index (I) in the range of 0.5 to 10 g/10 minutes. The second component is a low molecular weight ethylene polymer having a density in the range of 0.965 to 0.980 g/cm, and a melt index (I) in the range of 50 to 1500 g/10 minutes. The high-density polyethylene composition has a melt index (I) of at least 1, a density in the range of 0.950 to 0.960 g/cm, and g' of 1.

High-density polyethylene compositions, method of making the same

An ethylenic polymer comprising amyl groups from about 0.1 to about 2.0 units per 1000 carbon atoms as determined by Nuclear Magnetic Resonance and both a peak melting temperature, T, in &#xb0; C., and a heat of fusion, H, in J/g, as determined by DSC Crystallinity, where the numerical values of Tand Hcorrespond to the relationship T&#x2267;(0.2143*H)+79.643. An ethylenic polymer comprising at least one preparative TREF fraction that elutes at 95&#xb0; C. or greater using a Preparative Temperature Rising Elution Fractionation method, where at least one preparative TREF fraction that elutes at 95&#xb0; C. or greater has a gpcBR value greater than 0.05 and less than 5 as determined by gpcBR Branching Index by 3D-GPC, and where at least 5% of the ethylenic polymer elutes at a temperature of 95&#xb0; C. or greater based upon the total weight of the ethylenic polymer.

Long chain branched (LCB), block, or interconnected copolymers of ethylene in combination with one other polymer

The instant invention provides an ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer suitable for use in shrinkage film applications, and articles made therefrom. The ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer according to the present invention has a CDBI of less than 60%, and comprises at least two fractions in crossfractionation of the ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer, eluting from 85&#xb0; C. to 90&#xb0; C. and from 90&#xb0; C. to 95&#xb0; C., comprising a weight fraction ratio of &#x3e;0.68 and a molecular weight homogeneity index of greater than 0.65; wherein the weight fraction ratio is the ratio of the weight of polymer in each fraction divided by the weight of polymer eluting between 95&#xb0; C. and 100&#xb0; C. and the molecular weight homogeneity index is the ratio of the weight average molecular weight of the polymer in the fraction divided by the weight average molecular weight of the polymer eluting between 95&#xb0; C. and 100&#xb0; C., and wherein the ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer has a density in the range of 0.920 to 0.940 g/cm.

The instant invention provides an ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer suitable for use in fiber applications, and fibers made therefrom. The ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer according to the present invention has a CDBI of less than 60%, and comprises at least two fractions in crossfractionation of the ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer, eluting from 85&#xb0; C. to 90&#xb0; C. and from 90&#xb0; C. to 95&#xb0; C., comprising a weight fraction ratio of &#x3e;0.68 and a molecular weight homogeneity index of greater than 0.65; wherein the weight fraction ratio is the ratio of the weight of polymer in each fraction divided by the weight of polymer eluting between 95&#xb0; C. and 100&#xb0; C. and the molecular weight homogeneity index is the ratio of the weight average molecular weight of the polymer in the fraction divided by the weight average molecular weight of the polymer eluting between 95&#xb0; C. and 100&#xb0; C., and wherein the ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer has a density in the range of from 0.920 to 0.965 g/cm, and a melt index (I) in the range of from 0.5 to 100 g/10 minutes, and melt flow ratio (I/I) in the range of from 5.8 to 8.

Ethylene/alpha-olefin interpolymer suitable for use in fiber applications, and fibers made therefrom

Disclosed is an ethylene-based polymer with a density from about 0.90 to about 0.94 in grams per cubic centimeter, with a molecular weight distribution (M/M) from about 2 to about 30, a melt index (I) from about 0.1 to about 50 grams per 10 minutes, and further comprising sulfur from about 5 to about 4000 parts per million. The amount of sulfur is also determined based upon the total weight of the ethylene-based polymer. The invention provides a composition, comprising a blend, wherein said blend comprises a high molecular weight ethylene-based interpolymer and a low molecular weight ethylene-based interpolymer, and the high molecular weight ethylene-based interpolymer is a heterogeneously branched linear or a homogeneously branched linear ethylene-based interpolymer, and has a density from 0.922 g/cc to 0.929 g/cc, and a high load melt index (I21) from 0.2 g/10 min to 1.0 g/10 min, and the low molecular weight ethylene-based interpolymer is heterogeneously branched linear or a homogeneously branched linear ethylene-based interpolymer, and has a density from 0.940 g/cc to 0.955 g/cc, and a melt index (I2) from 6 g/10 min to 50 g/10 min. The blend has a single peak in an ATREF profile eluting above 30&#xb0; C., and has a coefficient of viscosity average molecular weight (CMv) less than &#x2212;0.0032 in the log(calculated Mv) versus elution temperature, said CMv calculated in the range of elution temperatures from 70&#xb0; C. to 90&#xb0; C. The Mv is the viscosity average molecular weight.
