An optical fiber cable management panel includes drawer assemblies, each including a drawer slidable within a chassis. The drawer assemblies are secured together by a bracket that includes an interlock arrangement with the chassis. Such an interlock arrangement includes a non-threaded stud engaging a hole. Radius limiters may be part of the drawer assembly and include a cable entry aperture have a closed perimeter and a flared cable guide surface around most of, and preferably all of, the closed perimeter to allow for the entry of cables from all directions. A control mechanism controls movement of the radius limiter relative to the drawer assembly. The control mechanism includes a rotating member that has an axis of rotation transverse to the slidable motion of the radius limiter and normal to the radius limiter.

Cable management panel with sliding drawer and methods

An optical fiber cable management panel includes drawer assemblies, each including a drawer slidable within a chassis. Each drawer assembly defines a storage interior and a first cable access entry to permit optical fiber cables to enter into the storage interior. A cable radius limiter is slidably mounted relative to the drawer assembly, the cable radius limiter defining a curved cable trough. A control mechanism controls movement of the radius limiter relative to the drawer assembly. The control mechanism includes a rotating member that has an axis of rotation transverse to the slidable motion of the radius limiter and normal to the radius limiter.

An assembly for effecting a variable volume chamber for use in a cannon having a breech assembly operably coupled to a chamber, and includes the chamber having a certain size being partially defined by a constant diameter for a known depth dimension and having a known volume and a breech plug assembly disposable in the chamber to a selectively variable depth, the depth being less than the known depth of the chamber such that the plug fills a first selectively variable portion of the known volume of the chamber, thereby leaving a second variable portion of the known volume of the chamber free and defining a chamber variable volume. A Cannon including the variable volume chamber and a method of effecting a variable volume chamber are further included.

A storage tray arrangement for storing cable slack in fiber optic systems includes a vertically oriented frame and at least one tray mounted to the frame in a vertical plane parallel to the frame. There is a mounting construction that permits the tray to be pivotally secured to the frame. The mounting construction permits the tray to be selectively pivoted relative to the frame within the vertical plane. In preferred arrangements, the trays are mounted as tray sets having at least two trays mounted to a common pivot post. Particular preferred trays include trays having scalloped side walls. Methods for storing cable slack utilize trays and mounting arrangements as described herein.
