A personal watercraft hull has a bow, a keel, starboard and port upper edges, a starboard portion extending between the keel and the starboard upper edge, a port portion extending between the keel and the starboard upper edge, and a transom. The starboard portion has a starboard row of grooves. The port portion has a port row of grooves. The rows of grooves extend in a longitudinal direction and are laterally offset from the longitudinal centerline and from their corresponding upper edge. The grooves of the rows of grooves define recesses in an outer surface of the hull. A personal watercraft having the personal watercraft hull is also disclosed.

A hull for a watercraft and a watercraft disclosed, the hull including a hull body having a first recess surface defining a first recess, and a second recess surface defining a second recess; a first hull panel disposed in the first recess, a front portion of the first hull panel being movable between a first and second position; a second hull panel disposed in the second recess, a front portion of the second hull panel being movable between a third and fourth position; a first biasing member biasing the front portion of the first hull panel toward the first position; a second biasing member biasing the front portion of the second hull panel toward the third position; a first stopper for the first hull panel; a second stopper for the second hull panel; and a stabilizing bar for transferring motion between the first hull panel and the second hull panel.

A watercraft has a hull having a bow, a deck disposed on the hull, an engine connected to the hull, a propulsion system operatively connected to the engine, a first bow sponson disposed on a starboard side of the bow, and a second bow sponson disposed on a port side of the bow. A sponson suitable for use on a bow of a watercraft is also disclosed.

A straddle seat has a top portion having a rear portion and a front portion. Two side portions extend downwardly from the top portion. The front portion extends upwardly and forwardly from the rear portion. The front portion is hourglass shaped and has a narrowing. The front portion has a pair of lateral wings extending laterally outwardly above at least part of the two side portions for covering at least in part knees and thighs of a driver. A personal watercraft having such a straddle seat is also described. The personal watercraft has a helm assembly and footrests having middle sections disposed rearwardly of the helm assembly. Front sections extend upwardly and forwardly from the middle sections forming a first angle. Rear sections extend upwardly and rearwardly from the middle sections forming a second angle. The first angle is greater than the second angle.
