A hand tool for mechanically generating and delivering a driving force to a fastener. The hand tool includes a mechanical force delivery system that is structured and operable to mechanically generate and deliver a driving force to a fastener. The hand tool additionally includes a pneumatic actuation device that is operatively connected to the mechanical force delivery system. The pneumatic actuation device is structured and operable to actuate the mechanical force delivery system such that the mechanical force delivery system mechanically generates and delivers the driving force.

Pneumatically actuated mechanical hand tool

A fastener assembly of fastening members formed from connected and collated fasteners mounted in non-contacting clips, for feeding into a fastening tool. The fastening members are driven by a powered fastening tool into deck boards and joists for building a deck or driven into alternate workpieces for building other structures.

Fastener assembly

A fastener driving device includes a fastener driver, a magazine for carrying a supply of fasteners to the fastener driver, a spring that moves the fastener driver through a drive stroke, and a motor configured to move the fastener driver through a return stroke. The motor is operable upon completion of the drive stroke, to move the fastener driver partially through the return stroke a predetermined amount to partially pre-compress the spring. The motor is further operable to fully compress the spring after receiving a signal for the drive stroke.

Fastener driving device

A fastener driving device includes a housing, and a nose assembly carried by the housing. The nose assembly has a fastener drive track. The fastener driving device also includes an engine carried by the housing and configured to drive a fastener out of the drive track and into a workpiece during a drive stroke, a contact trip that includes an electrical actuator constructed and arranged to move a portion of contact trip to sense whether the workpiece is in front of the nose assembly, and a trigger configured to activate the electrical actuator to move the portion of the contact trip.
