A lamp having a longitudinal axis, comprising of a burner pinched at one end and a cement less base holding the contact points protruding from the burner. At least one end of the burner is sealed and aligned at the centre of the base in an upright direction following the lamp axis by means of a spring clip, which is mounted from the side of the pinch of the burner and does not interfere with the lead wires.

The present disclosure relates to a short arc metal halide lamp without outer jacket, whose arc tube has a specified aspect ratio and chemical filling, characterized in that it delivers a low color temperature and very high color rendering index, which are maintained during dimming.

In a metal halide vapor lamp, particularly for application in aquaria, having a fill containing GdBr, HoJ, DyJ, CsJ and TlJ, the fill additionally contains InJ, whereby all the said ingredients are mixed with each other in such a ratio that on the CIE chromaticity diagram the color point of the lamp having the coordinates X=0.265 and Y=0.265 deviates in no direction for more than 7 SDMC.
