A mobile agricultural machine includes a sensor capable of sensing a gaseous composition of an air flow impinging the sensor; an air filtering unit configured to remove particulate matter from the air flow; and a controller. The controller is configured to: receive a sensing signal from the sensor, wherein the sensing signal is representative of the gaseous composition; and output an indication signal if the gaseous composition is indicative of an anomaly associated with an operation of the mobile agricultural machine.

Machine monitoring

A sealing assembly for a sensor port of a double-walled muffler. The assembly includes at least an outer plate and a washer-type element. The washer-type element has a planar portion provided with an aperture, and a tube portion protrudes from an edge of the aperture. The assembly is mounted on a sensor port provided with a boss fixed to an inner wall of the double muffler wall, and with an opening in an outer wall surrounding the boss. The tube portion is fitted over the boss, and the assembly is fixed to the outer wall. Any radial or lateral movement of the boss relative to the outer wall is able to take place without losing sealing function, due to lateral freedom of movement of the washer-type element relative to the outer plate, and due to the fact that the boss is able to move relative to the tube portion.

An agricultural harvester includes an IC engine, a grain tank, and a fluid cooling system for at least one component onboard the agricultural harvester. The fluid cooling system has a cooling package positioned between the IC engine and the grain tank. The cooling package includes a housing, and a plurality of cooling units arranged in a side-to-side manner within the housing, transverse to a fore-aft direction of the harvester.

A work machine with an internal combustion engine is provided with an air inlet for receiving combustion air, wherein an air pre-cleaner is mounted in the inlet, a radiator, a cooling air fan and a debris removal means, configured to remove debris from a flow of air produced by the cooling air fan through the radiator, the removal means comprising a screen for collecting the debris, and an aspirator for aspirating the debris away from the screen, and a venturi element mounted downstream of the aspirator, and having an inlet portion, a throat portion and an outlet portion, wherein a duct is mounted between the engine air pre-cleaner and the throat portion, so that particles removed by the pre-cleaner flow towards the throat portion, and out through the outlet portion of the venturi element, together with the aspirated debris.

A rotary dust screen for a cooling unit of an agricultural vehicle includes a frame having a ring shape, wherein a dust screen is mounted in the frame and wherein the frame includes a seal extending along the ring and comprising a lip adapted to abut, when the rotary dust screen is mounted on the cooling unit, against a housing of the cooling unit to prevent contaminants from entering the cooling unit at an edge of the dust screen, wherein the rotary dust screen further has a driving belt adapted to be driven by a rotary actuator to rotate the dust screen, wherein the driving belt engages with the rotary dust screen at an outer surface of the seal.

A work vehicle equipped with a main engine, a main engine gearbox and a main engine cooling circuit for circulating an engine coolant, the cooling circuit comprising at least one sub-portion comprising a radiator for heating the driver's cabin of the work vehicle. A heat exchanger is configured for heat exchange between said engine coolant and a lubricant flowing in a circuit into and out of a gearbox other than the engine gearbox. This latter gearbox can be the traction gearbox driven by a hydrostatic motor that is in turn powered by main-engine driven pump. The traction gearbox oil is then cooled by the engine coolant when the temperature difference between the engine coolant and the traction gearbox oil is higher than when the work vehicle is in active operation in the field.

A method and apparatus are disclosed for unblocking a perforated rotary filter screen. In the invention, at least one jet of high pressure air is directed at a surface of the filter screen as the filter screen is rotated and the or each jet of air is moved in a direction transverse to the direction of movement of the perforations in the screen in order to cause the or each air jet to trace a spiral or helical path over the surface of the screen.
