A low dosage hydrate inhibitor blend comprising a cationic surfactant and a co-surfactant. The cationic surfactant has the structural formula: wherein: R1 is an alkyl group or alkenyl group having from 5 to 22 carbon atoms, R2 and R3 are alkyl groups having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, R4 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and X&#x2014; is selected from the group of a carboxylate, an acrylate, a methacrylate, a halide, a phosphonate, a sulfate, a sulfonate, a hydroxide, a carbonate, or any combination thereof; and The co-surfactant is present in the inhibitor blend in an amount of no greater than about 10 percent by weight based on the total weight of the blend.

Low dosage hydrate inhibitor

Dual cation hydrate inhibitor compositions and methods of using such compositions to, for example, inhibit the formation of gas hydrate agglomerates are provided. In some embodiments, such methods include introducing a hydrate inhibitor composition into a fluid, wherein the hydrate inhibitor composition includes at least one compound having the structural formula: wherein each of R, R, and Ris independently a Cto Chydrocarbon chain, wherein Ris selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and any Cto Chydrocarbon chain, wherein each of Rand Ris independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen and a Cto Chydrocarbon chain, wherein Xand Yare counter anions, and wherein each of a and b is independently an integer from 1 to 10.

Dual cation hydrate inhibitors

A variety of systems, methods and compositions are disclosed. A method may comprise introducing a fracturing fluid into a subterranean formation, wherein the fracturing fluid comprises an aqueous based fluid, a proppant composition, an oxidizing breaker, and halloysite nanotubes, wherein the oxidizing breaker is positioned within the halloysite nanotubes; and reducing a viscosity of the fracturing fluid.

Excapsulation oxidizing breakers for downhole applications

A variety of systems, methods and compositions are disclosed, including, in one method, a method may comprise providing a proppant-free fracturing fluid; providing a proppant composition, wherein the proppant composition comprises proppant particulates and degradable thermoplastic particulates; introducing the proppant-free fracturing fluid into a subterranean formation at an injection rate above a fracture gradient to create or enhance at least one fracture in the subterranean formation; introducing the proppant composition into the at least one fracture; and allowing the proppant composition to form a proppant pack in the fracture, wherein the degradable thermoplastic particulates are degradable to generate voids in the proppant pack.

Enhancing propped fracture conductivity in subterranean wells

A method of servicing a wellbore penetrating at least a portion of a subterranean formation, including placing into the wellbore a wellbore servicing fluid including a friction reducer, an iron control agent, and an aqueous fluid. Methods of making and using a wellbore servicing fluid for iron mitigation

Creating a fracture network extending from a wellbore into a subterranean formation. The method includes introducing a series of fluids into the fracture network in a subterranean formation, thereby forming a proppant pack in the fracture network. The series of fluids comprise: a microproppant slurry comprising a microproppant having an average diameter less than about 25 microns; a proppant slurry comprising a proppant having an average diameter of about 75 microns to about 500 microns; and a sweep fluid having a microproppant weight percentage by weight of the sweep fluid that is from 0 to about the same of the microproppant weight percentage in the microproppant slurry by weight of the microproppant slurry. The introduction of the microproppant slurry is not immediately followed by introduction of the proppant slurry. The introduction of the proppant slurry is not immediately followed by introduction of the microproppant slurry.

Staged propping of fracture networks

An acidizing and formation stabilizing treatment fluid for stabilizing a fracture in a subterranean formation. An acid generating agent generates an acid in situ to acidize the formation thereby enhancing the fractures within and to cure an acid-catalyzed, curable resin to stabilize the formation.

Methods and compositions for acidizing and stabilizing formation of fracture faces in the same treatment

A method of treating a subterranean formation comprising: providing a proppant; coating the proppant with a geopolymer composition to create a coated proppant; injecting a fracturing fluid into the subterranean formation, wherein the fracturing fluid comprises a base fluid and the coated proppant; and allowing the geopolymer composition to set in the formation to form a geopolymer on the proppant.

Strengthening proppant on-the-fly during hydraulic fracturing treatments

System and methods for customizing fracturing fluids downhole for real-time optimization of micro-fracturing operations are provided. Downhole operating conditions are monitored during a micro-fracturing operation along a portion of a wellbore within a subterranean formation, based on downhole measurements collected by sensors of a downhole formation tester. Injection parameters for a fracturing fluid to be injected from a bulk storage chamber of the downhole formation tester into the subterranean formation are determined based on the downhole operating conditions. Signals for customizing the fracturing fluid using one or more fluid additives stored within corresponding fluid storage chambers of the downhole formation tester are transmitted to a controller of the downhole formation tester, based on the injection parameters. Injection of the customized fracturing fluid from the downhole formation tester into an area of the subterranean formation surrounding the portion of the wellbore is controlled during the micro-fracturing operation.

Downhole customization of fracturing fluids for micro-fracturing operations

Methods involving anti-agglomerant hydrate inhibitors and polyaromatic hydrocarbons for hydrate inhibition are provided. In some embodiments, the methods include introducing a hydrate inhibitor composition including an anti-agglomerant hydrate inhibitor into a fluid including (i) water and (ii) one of gas, liquid hydrocarbon, and any combination thereof; and introducing a polyaromatic hydrocarbon into the fluid.

Polyaromatic hydrocarbon additives for hydrate inhibition

Treatment fluid compositions that include a carrier fluid, a crosslinkable polymer, one or more degradable fibers grafted with a crosslinking moiety capable of crosslinking the crosslinkable polymer, and optionally a proppant or gravel. Methods and systems for treating a subterranean wellbore or formation using the grafted degradable fiber treatment fluids are further provided. The presently disclosed treatment fluids may be suitable for use as hydraulic fracturing treatment fluids, gravel packing treatment fluids, or fluid diversion treatment fluids.

A method comprising contacting a proppant, water, and a water external emulsion to form a first mixture, wherein the water external emulsion has an organic internal phase comprising a surface modifying agent; contacting the first mixture with an emulsion breaker to form second mixture comprising a proppant coated with the surface modifying agent; and recovering a coated proppant from the second mixture.
