An operating control for a transfer seat includes at least one rotation control switch disposed on a first portion of a user control interface box body. The rotation control switch is configured to be actuated to control rotational movement of the transfer seat about an axis. A directional control switch is disposed on a second portion of the user control interface box body. The directional control switch is configured to be actuated to control forward and rearward movement of the transfer seat base and upward and downward movement of the transfer seat.

An outer roll stop for a wheelchair lift includes a base having a leading end, a trailing end, a top surface, and a bottom surface positioned opposite from the top surface, a top plate secured to the base, with the top plate moveable relative to the base, and an interlock assembly comprising a sensor positioned between the top plate and the base, with the sensor having a first state and a second state. The sensor moving from the first state to the second state when an object is positioned on the top plate. The sensor is configured to detect when an object is positioned on the top plate prior to motion of the outer roll stop.

A power transfer seat base includes a top fixed plate having a fixed stop attached to an upper surface thereof, a rotating plate mounted on the top fixed plate, the rotating plate having a rotating stop attached to a bottom surface thereof, and a user control interface box mounting bracket mounted on the rotating plate. An operating control having a rotation control switch and a directional control switch disposed on a user control interface box body that is mounted on the mounting bracket. The rotating plate is configured so that the rotating stop and the mounting bracket may be connected to the rotating plate at different positions. The power transfer seat also includes a mounting system that is configured to be connected to the base at different locations in a fore/aft direction and at different locations in a lateral direction.

A ramp assembly includes a ramp movable between a deployed position, a stowed position, and an intermediate position and a drive mechanism comprising a motor configured to move the ramp between the deployed position and the stowed position. The motor has a shunted mode and a non-shunted mode. The assembly further includes a first detecting arrangement configured to detect a position of the ramp and a second detecting arrangement configured to detect a direction of movement of the ramp, with the motor being placed in one of the shunted mode and the non-shunted mode based on the position and the direction of movement of the ramp.
