Silicon oil sensor

A method of manufacturing a cold shrinkable termination for an electric power cable that includes an insulation tube and stress control glue. An electric power cable is provided having an exposed end including: a conductor core having an exposed portion and an unexposed portion; an insulation layer having an exposed portion and an unexposed portion covering the unexposed portion of conductor core; a semi-conductive shield layer having an exposed portion and an unexposed portion covering the unexposed portion of the insulation layer; a metal shield layer having an exposed portion and an unexposed portion covering the unexposed portion of the semi-conductive shield layer; and an outer protection layer covering the unexposed portion of the metal shield layer. A cold shrinkable termination is provided including: an insulation tube; a stress control glue; and, a support tube. The stress control glue is coated along a selected segment of an inner wall of the insulation tube. The insulation tube of the cold shrinkable termination is expanded on the support tube. The exposed end of the electric power cable is inserted into the support tube, and the support tube is removed from the insulation tube such that the insulation tube shrinks on the exposed end of the electric power cable. Thereby, the structure of the cold shrinkable termination is simplified and the cost thereof is reduced.

Method of manufacturing a cold shrinkable termination and assembly

A cold shrinkable terminal comprises a terminal body fixed to a cable joint disposed at an end of the cable and a composite void filling mastic. The cable joint includes a conductor core, an inner insulation layer disposed on the conductor core, and a conductive shielding layer disposed on the inner insulation layer. The composite void filling mastic covers an incision of the conductive shielding layer and includes a filling layer in contact with the cable joint and a separating layer disposed between the filling layer and the terminal body. The separating layer is made of a material different than the terminal body.

An insulation assembly comprises an insulation pipe, an insulation umbrella group, and an insulation base. The insulation pipe has a first end and a second end opposite to the first end. The insulation umbrella group is formed on an outer wall of the insulation pipe. The insulation base is made of an insulating material and connected to the first end of the insulation pipe.

A street lamp controller comprises a switch configured to turn on and turn off a street lamp, a control module adapted to control the turning on and turning off of the switch, a detection module adapted to detect a data element relevant to operation of the street lamp, a data acquisition module connected to the detection module and adapted to acquire the data element detected by the detection module, and a wireless transmission module. The wireless transmission module communicates with a server and is adapted to transmit the data element acquired by the data acquisition module to the server and receive a control instruction sent from the server. The control module is adapted to communicate with the server via the wireless transmission module and is adapted to control the street lamp based on the control instruction received by the wireless transmission module.

Street lamp controller

A method of laying an optical fiber comprises providing a continuous optical fiber, a first segment of optical-electrical hybrid cable having a first fiber receiving tube, and a second segment of optical-electrical hybrid cable having a second fiber receiving tube. The optical fiber is laid into the first fiber receiving tube using an air-blowing device. A leading end of the optical fiber is fixed in a transfer apparatus after the leading end passes through an outlet of the first fiber receiving tube. A portion of the optical fiber which has passed through the first segment is wound in the transfer apparatus until the optical fiber is completely laid in the first segment. The leading end of the optical fiber is detached from the transfer apparatus. The portion of the optical fiber which has passed through the first segment is laid into the second fiber receiving tube using the air-blowing device.

Method of laying optical fiber and transfer apparatus for winding optical fiber

A dry power cable termination has an insulation sleeve, a silicone rubber tube and a stress control cone. The insulation sleeve has an inlet and an outlet. The silicone rubber tube is disposed over an exterior of the insulation sleeve; and the stress control cone is received within the insulation sleeve. Additionally, the dry power cable termination has a shielding sleeve, an electrode, an-electric connection assembly and a clamping pipe. The shielding sleeve is received within the insulation sleeve and fitted over an exposed segment of an insulation layer of the power cable. The electrode is received within the insulation sleeve and is electrically connected to a first end of the shielding sleeve. The electric connection assembly is received within the insulation sleeve and electrically connects a second end of the shielding sleeve opposite to the first to an exposed segment of a conductor core of the-power cable.

Dry power cable termination

An insulation termination assembly comprises an insulation tube, an annular bottom plate, and a tail assembly. The insulation tube has an inlet end, an outlet end opposite to the inlet end, and an inner space filled with an insulation liquid. The annular bottom plate is mounted at the inlet end of the insulation tube. The tail assembly comprises an insulation connection tube mounted on the annular bottom plate and a shield tail tube connected to the insulation connection tube. A cable joint of a cable is introduced into the inner space of the insulation tube from the inlet end of the insulation tube after passing through the shield tail tube and the insulation connection tube.

A lightning arrester is disclosed. The lightning arrester comprises a housing, a body partially disposed in the housing, a cap disposed at a first end of the housing, and an elastic element compressed between the cap and the body.

Lightning arrester

A power cable terminal is disclosed. The power cable terminal comprises an insulation tube having a first end and an opposite second end, a stress control cone received in the insulation tube, a base connected to the first end of the insulation tube and having a cylinder extending into the insulation tube, and a connector. The connector presses an end face of the stress control cone against an end face of the cylinder and hermetically seals the stress control cone to the cylinder.

Power cable terminal

A cold shrinkable termination for an electric power cable that includes an insulation tube and stress control glue. When the cold shrinkable termination is mounted on the electric power cable, the stress control glue fills a gap between the electric power cable and the insulation tube so as to prevent local electric field concentration from occurring at an exposed end of the electric power cable. The stress control glue has a dielectric constant within a range of 5 to 100. In this cold shrinkable termination, a stress control glue with high dielectric constant is provided to optimize the electric-field distribution on an insulation surface of the electric power cable. Thereby, the structure of the cold shrinkable termination is simplified and the cost thereof is reduced. The cold shrinkable termination may be adapted to an electric power cable used to transmit voltage less than 26/35 kV.

Cold shrinkable termination, cold shrinkable termination assembly and method for manufacturing the same

A pre-expanded cover assembly for protecting a cable splice connection including a cable, the cable including an electrical conductor surrounded by a cable insulation layer, includes a splice body assembly and a removable holdout. The splice body assembly includes a tubular, cold-shrinkable, electrically insulative, elastomeric splice body having an interior surface defining an interior passage. The splice body assembly further includes a tubular layer of a conformable medium pre-mounted on the interior surface of the splice body. The conformable medium is a flowable material having a high electrical permittivity. The splice body assembly is mounted on the holdout such that the holdout maintains the splice body in an elastically radially expanded state, and the holdout is selectively removable from the splice body to permit the splice body to elastically radially contract. The layer of the conformable medium is positioned and configured such that, when the pre-expanded cover assembly is positioned adjacent the cable splice connection, the holdout is removed from the splice body, and the splice body elastically radially contracts onto the cable splice connection, the layer of the conformable medium will be radially interposed between and engage each of the interior surface of the splice body and an opposing interface surface of the cable insulation.

Cover assemblies and methods for covering electrical cables and connections

A cold shrinkable termination has an electric power cable, an insulation body, and a stress control tube. The electric power cable has a conductor core, an insulation layer covering the conductor core, and a conductive shielding layer covering the insulation layer. The insulation body has a first end portion and an opposite second end portion. The stress control tube is disposed in the insulation body adjacent to the second end portion of the insulation body. The stress control tube has a first tube portion directly overlapped on the insulation layer of the electric power cable, and a second tube portion directly overlapped on the conductive shielding layer of the electric power cable and extending a predetermined length thereon when the cold shrinkable termination is mounted on the electric power cable.

Cold shrinkable termination for an electric power cable

The disclosed power cable enables optical fibers to be installed after the power cable has been installed, thereby forming a hybrid cable. Segments of the power cable are manufactured with fiber installation tubes containing pulling members. When the power cable segments are coupled together, the fiber installation tubes and pulling members also are coupled together to form a fiber installation conduit and an extended pulling member. A fiber pull arrangement can be coupled to the extended pulling member and drawn through the fiber installation conduit within the power cable at any time subsequent to installation of the power cable.
