An electronic cigarette (e-cigarette) capable of holding, heating, and quantitatively supplying a gelled electronic liquid (e-liquid) is provided. The e-cigarette includes an upper housing, a lower housing, a gel container, a press and reset mechanism, and an aerosol channel. The gelled e-liquid is supplied quantitatively to a heating chamber by manually pressing the press and reset mechanism. The user can adjust the time interval between pressing and releasing the press and reset mechanism according to the needs of the user for each inhalation by adjusting the length of the gelled e-liquid stick supplied to the heating chamber. Besides, a holder is provided therein with heating plates at different positions, and the holder also serves as a heating element. The design avoids the need to provide the heating element and the heating chamber separately, which reduces the volume of the smoking device.

The preparation device includes a negative-pressure chamber and a cooling element, where the negative-pressure chamber is provided therein with a porous e-liquid containing chamber. A temperature controller is configured to control the temperature of the cooling element, and a gap between the porous e-liquid containing chamber and the cooling element forms an e-liquid containing cavity.

The invention discloses a method for evaluating the aerosol mass of electronic cigarettes, comprising the following steps: (1) Measurement: an electronic cigarette is smoked to measure the particle size distribution and the particle numbers in the generated aerosol, and measure the volume flow rate C of the aerosol and the testing time t; (2) Data processing: based on the particle size distribution and number, the aerosol particles are classified with classifying diameter d, and the corresponding average number concentrations n of the particles to classifying diameters dare calculated; and (3) the generated aerosol mass is calculated according to the calculation formula for the aerosol mass of the invention.
