The set of media clips may be analyzed in the social networking environment with respect to a set of commentary typology data. Based on the analyzing, a set of benchmark typology data which indicates a set of commentary norms of the set of media clips may be determined. A set of benchmark typology data may be established for utilization by the social networking environment.

An approach to validate a route generated by machine logic may be provided. The approach may include a user inputting an origin and destination. The approach may include generating a route from the user input by machine logic. The approach may additionally include the user inputting one or more waypoints. The approach may determine if the waypoint(s) is located on the generated route. If it is determined the waypoints are not on the generated route, a second route may be generated, by machine logic, with the waypoint(s) on the route. The approach may further include presenting the route to a user for validation.

Approaches presented herein enable automatically indicating approval between portions of content in digital items in a digital item network context based on social media activity. Specifically, activity signals (e.g., likes, shares, etc.) related to a social media item in a social media network environment having a topic are evaluated and a set of tags are generated based on the topic. A first portion of content from a first digital item and a second portion of content from a second digital item are selected from a collection of digital items received via a digital item network. The first portion and second portion are related to the topic based on the set of generated tags. An approval action (e.g., likes) is performed between the first portion and second portion.

A method, system and computer program product for ensuring a desired distribution of images in a multimedia document (e.g., yearbook, slideshow). A desired distribution of facial signatures in a multimedia document to be created by the user is received. Upon receiving an image to be added to the multimedia document by the user, a facial signature for a face detected in the image is generated. The current number of instances of the facial signature in the multimedia document is then determined. A determination is then made as to whether the current number of instances of the facial signature meets the desired distribution. An indication is then provided to the user as to whether the current number of instances of the facial signature meets or does not meet the desired distribution. In this manner, the user can ensure a desired distribution of images in the multimedia document.

A method, system and computer program product for facilitating access to a resource represented in an image at a later time. A screen capture of an image displayed on a computing device is implemented. Metadata, including the resource location, resource navigation and positional metadata, regarding the source data of the screen capture image is generated. The generated metadata is then embedded into the screen capture image. The screen capture image with the embedded metadata is then transmitted to a different user. By embedding the metadata into the screen capture image, the user receiving the screen capture image will be able to reproduce the state of the source environment when the image was captured using the embedded metadata thereby opening the resource represented in the image.

Approaches presented herein enable resuming a context for a group of electronic devices based on a prior activity of the group members. Specifically, a current context of a user electronic device is collected at a conclusion of a first collaboration session. One or more participant electronic devices associated with the user electronic device are identified, either by being in a same location or virtually connected. A current context of each of the identified participant electronic devices is collected. The context of the user electronic device and each of the participant electronic devices are stored in a context database. The current context of the user electronic device and each of the participant electronic devices are resumed at a beginning of a second collaboration session when the user electronic device is resumed (e.g., powered on or brought out of 'sleep' mode).

A method, system and computer program product for improving social network users' interactions. The content of posts in a thread is analyzed so as to group the posts by topic. The posts directed to a specific topic are then analyzed to determine which users posted an initial post or a comment containing an ongoing question not answered. The users' profiles, liked pages and/or friends' graphs for the users involved in the analyzed posts are analyzed to determine any relationships among the users. Furthermore, past communication patterns and/or liked pages of the users are analyzed to determine the likelihood of responding to posts. The posts in the original thread are split into a new thread containing the group(s) of posts directed to a topic(s) having a group of users who would most likely participate in the new thread, where the group of users is selected based on the analysis discussed above.

An approach is provided to correct documents ingested by a question answering (QA) system. A document previously ingested by the QA system is selected. A correction to the selected document is identified from one or more correction sources and the correction is applied to the selected document within the QA system. In one embodiment, the correction source is a non-ingested document, such as a published document or an issued correction. In another embodiment, the correction source is a post in a forum. In this embodiment, a statement in the ingested document is compared with a contradictory statement found in an ingested post of a threaded discussion. The statement and the contradictory statement are evaluated by the QA system. The statement in the ingested document is replaced with the contradictory statement in response to the evaluation revealing that the contradictory statement is correct and that the statement is incorrect.

A method and system are provided. The method includes monitoring power usage and predicting power requirements for the at least two mobile devices. The method further includes identifying a device charging order and a power threshold of each of the at least two devices to meet the predicted power requirements of each of the at least two devices. The method also includes notifying a user regarding the device charging order and the power threshold of each of the at least two devices. At least the monitoring, identifying, and notifying steps are performed by a processor-enabled charging manager.

A method, system, and computer program product for selectively delaying social media messages in a social media environment are provided in the illustrative embodiments. A subject matter of a social media message is determined by analyzing the social media message at a first time after sending by a sender user and prior to publishing on a social media page of a receiver user. Using a delay rule related to the subject matter, a determination is made whether the publishing of the social media message on the social media page of receiver user should be delayed. Responsive to the delay rule concluding to delay the publishing, the publishing of the social media message on the social media page of the receiver user is delayed by a delay period.

Selectively delaying social media messages

An approach is provided in which a mobile device receives a first message from an electronic tag that includes a computer network address and also a unique property identifier corresponding to a physical property. The mobile device activates a camera in response to receiving the first message and, in turn, transmits a second message to the computer network address that includes the unique property identifier and an image captured by the activated camera.

Aspects relate to improving search results based on a search history. Searches performed by a user are monitored to collect search data. The search data is categorized according to search terms, search sites, and result satisfactions to form the search history. A search request that includes one or more search terms related to at least one of the search terms in the search history is received. The search request is modified to increase a predicted satisfaction level of the user with results of the received search request. The modifying is based on contents of the received search request and the search history. A search is performed based on the modified search request.
