A system that facilitates providing of commercial offers is described. During operation, this system receives financial information associated with a user of financial software. Then, the system presents an icon corresponding to the commercial offer to the user. This commercial offer is targeted to the user based on a financial history of the user, which includes multiple transactions with multiple commercial establishments. Moreover, the icon exhibits animated behavior which can vary over time, and the user can pursue the commercial offer by interacting with the icon.

Facilitating embedded dynamic commercial offers

A method and system for providing sellers access to desirable consumers includes a process for providing sellers access to desirable consumers whereby financial transaction data for various consumers is obtained from one or more sources using a computing system implemented financial management system. The consumers' financial transaction data is then used by a provider of marketing and advertising tools to categorize consumers. Sellers are then charged for access to the consumers based on the consumer's category and/or historical financial transaction data and/or based on the consumer's eventual business with the seller as indicated by monitoring the consumers' financial transaction data.

Method and system for providing sellers access to selected consumers

A method and system for deriving a consumer's shopping habits includes a process for deriving a consumer's shopping habits whereby data representing financial transactions conducted by a given consumer using one of more payment methods is obtained. Payee identification data for the payees associated with the financial transactions is then obtained/derived from the financial transactions data. The payees' identification data is then analyzed to determine each payee's geographic location. The data representing the geographic location of the various payees is then aggregated, mapped, and analyzed to derive a geographical shopping area for the consumer, i.e., to determine where the consumer does a significant amount of his or her shopping.

Method and system for deriving a consumer's shopping habits

A method and system for providing a small business a coupon distribution system includes a process for coupon distribution to select consumers whereby a coupon provider defines at least one coupon eligibility criterion that must be met by a consumer in order for the consumer to be eligible to receive a given coupon. The coupon provider also provides coupon offer data including, but not limited to, the terms of the coupon, contact information for the coupon provider, and a logo and/or trademark associated with the coupon provider. The data representing the at least one coupon eligibility criterion and coupon offer data is then provided to the process for coupon distribution to select consumers. Financial data for one or more consumers is then obtained from one or more sources using a computing system implemented financial management system. Using the data representing the at least one coupon eligibility criterion and the consumer's financial data, one or more consumers are identified that are eligible to receive the coupon from the coupon provider. The identified consumers are then provided the one coupons and/or coupon offer data.

Method and system for providing a small business coupon distribution system

In accordance with one embodiment, a system and method for providing consumers marketing devices based on their use of supplementary income includes obtaining consumer financial data associated with a given 'consumer' from one or more sources. At least part of the consumer financial data is then analyzed to determine if the given consumer typically receives supplementary income and, if so, how the consumer typically treats any supplementary income received. A supplementary income profile is then created for the given consumer. Data representing the supplementary income profile for the given consumer is then stored and at least part of the data representing the supplementary income profile for the given consumer is provided to one or more product marketers. One or more product marketers then provide a marketing device to the given consumer. The marketing device itself, and/or the time when the marketing device is provided to the given consumer, and/or the terms of the marketing device, is/are based, at least in part, on the data representing the supplementary income profile for the given consumer provided to one or more product marketers and analysis of the data representing the supplementary income profile for the given consumer performed by the product marketers.

Method and system to identify and target consumers based on their spending behavior with respect to supplementary income

A method and system for providing relevant search results using financial data includes a process for providing relevant search results using financial data whereby a user's financial transaction data is obtained from one or more sources. A user then initiates a network search using one or more network search parameters such as one or more keywords and/or phrases. The scope of the one or more network search parameters, and therefore the scope of the network search, are then determined and/or modified based, at least in part, on the user's financial data.
