Agricultural implement having a tow bar device for towing the implement with a towing vehicle includes an implement part that trails the tow bar device mounted so as to be pivotable about a first pivot axis. The first pivot axis is parallel to a horizontal transverse axis of the implement. The trailing implement part and the tow bar device are coupled by means of at least one first actuator. The tow bar device, by means of the first actuator, is pivotable about the first pivot axis in such a manner that a tilt angle between the tow bar device and the trailing implement part is adjustable.

An agricultural implement includes a tow bar assembly for towing the implement with a towing vehicle. The tow bar assembly includes a tow bar mounted to a part of the implement by a first pivot bearing so as to be pivotable about a first vertical axis. The tow bar assembly includes an arm parallel with and spaced vertically below the tow bar. The arm is attached to the part of the implement by a second pivot bearing so as to be pivotable about a second vertical axis that is coaxially located with the first vertical axis.

An implement includes a bale cutting device, which includes a carrier that can be pivoted about a pivot axis, and a support connected to the carrier. A cutter bar is attached to and supported by the support so as to be movable at least substantially in the direction of a longitudinal extent of the support. The implement may include at least one pick-up for engaging a bale. In operation, the cutter bar is positioned on a far side of the bale, with the bale between the carrier and the cutter bar. The cutter bar may then be drawn inward into the bale to cut the bale approximately in half.

An automatically actuated shunt valve system opens and closes a passage between two chambers of a powered element operated by a power source. The shunt valve system includes a coupler connecting the powered element with the power source through two mating coupling elements. One of the coupling elements includes a valve contact and the other includes a shunt valve assembly. The shunt valve assembly includes a valve chamber connected with both chambers of the powered element, a valve element opening or closing a flow path between the conduits, and a shaft for moving the valve element. The shaft engages the valve contact to move the valve element to close the flow path when the coupling elements are mated together, and moves the valve element to open the flow path when the shaft disengages from the valve contact as the coupling elements are disconnected from one another.

A round baler is provided having a bale chamber that is partly covered by stationary side walls assuming the size and shape of the bale chamber and by a gate having a skirt which can be brought into an overlapping relationship with the side walls when the gate is closed.

A rotobaler is provided with an inclination sensor that recognizes the inclination of the rotobaler, to the side as well as in the longitudinal direction. The inclination sensor generates a signal that is processed by a computer that controls a display arrangement in order to indicate whether a bale that is to be unloaded from the rotobaler can be ejected from the rotobaler, as presently positioned. If the inclination is such that a safe ejection of the bale is not possible, the computer sends out a signal that locks an outlet arrangement for the bale, or that steers the rotobaler in such a way that the bale is deposited with its longitudinal axis parallel to the inclination of the slope.

Control arrangement

The invention relates to a round baling press having a baling press chamber and a door arranged in the rear section of the baling press chamber. The door is movable along a path between a closed position, in which the door extends along the back side of the baling press chamber, and an open position in which a completely formed bale can be ejected from the baling press chamber. The baling press further includes at least one sensor providing information on the position of the door. The sensor provides a signal value which contains information on the respective position of the door along its path of movement.

A retaining arrangement, including a support arm is proposed, by means of which an operating unit is connected with a vehicle. The retaining arrangement includes a safety device which operates such that, as long as a predetermined condition is not fulfilled, the connection of the operating unit with the vehicle is maintained. An accumulator control arrangement serves to connect the chamber of the actuator to the accumulator only when the working unit moves into the first position.
