Provided is an electric stabiliser for stabilising a floating structure that includes a track for guiding a mover as a moving stabiliser mass. A direct current (DC) linear motor includes a planar stator that extends along the track and the mover that is adapted to move forwards and backwards along the track as the stabiliser mass. The planar stator includes a polyphase stator winding with winding coils connected. The mover includes permanent motor magnets facing the polyphase stator winding that define mover poles of alternating polarity along the track direction. Two active magnetic bearings is positioned between the track and a main body of the mover for selectively levitating the mover. In use, the active magnetic bearings levitate the mover above the track and the DC linear motor is controlled to move the mover backwards and forwards along the track to dampen a rolling/pitching movement of the floating structure.

The stator for rotary electric machine comprises a stator frame and a cylindrical magnetic mass inserted in the stator frame, the magnetic mass including a plurality of stacks of compacted magnetic sheets and longitudinal channels uniformly distributed over at least one diameter of the magnetic mass, the channels leading to each side of the magnetic mass. At least three bundles of compacted magnetic sheets are separated by spacers forming two discharge pipes extending circumferentially and radially between the stator frame and a central housing of the stator intended to receive a rotor of the rotary electric machine and communicating with the channels, the stator frame comprising at least two discharge openings connected to different pipes such that a fluid injected on either side of the magnetic mass escapes from the stator via the discharge pipes, the fluid passage section of the discharge pipes being configured to modify the temperature distribution in the magnetic mass.

The rotor for an electrical machine with a non-through shaft intended to drive a transmission line comprises two half-shafts enclosing a cylindrical magnetic mass. The magnetic mass comprises at least two adjacent identical cells, the cells being configured to prevent the propagation of metadamping in the rotor over a range of excitation frequencies of the transmission line, the rotation frequency range of the transmission line being hypercritical.

Provided is a rotor for an asynchronous rotary electrical machine with non-through shaft that includes a cylindrical magnetic mass gripped between two mounting flanges of two half-shafts, a cooling means capable of cooling the rotor and conductive bars housed within the magnetic mass and distributed substantially uniformly over a diameter of the magnetic mass. The cooling means includes, for each conductive bar, at least one cooling channel, opening onto the conductive bar according to an axial direction and located within the magnetic mass and at least one through hole arranged within each conductive bar in such a way that the cooling channel communicates with at least one hole arranged on the outer periphery of the magnetic mass.

Rotor for asynchronous electrical machine with non-through shaft and associated electrical machine

An electronic filter assembly includes a magnetically conductive annular body extending around a center axis, a set of magnetically conductive prongs radially extending from the center axis toward the annular body, and conductive windings extending around the prongs. The conductive windings can be disposed around the prongs instead of the annular body to assist in conduction of common mode magnetic flux, to reduce impedance of the filter assembly, and/or to more evenly distribute temperature in the filter assembly. A method for forming an electronic filter assembly includes forming an electronic filter assembly having a magnetically conductive annular body extending around a center axis and a set of magnetically conductive prongs radially extending from the center axis toward the annular body. The annular body and the prongs can be formed by coupling plural layers of magnetically conductive bodies together.

Filter assembly and method

A system and a method are presented. The system includes an electrically conducting material and an electrical insulation system. The electrical insulation system includes a layered insulation tape that has a first layer and a second layer. The first layer includes a mica paper and a binder resin in a range from about 5 wt % to about 12 wt % of the insulation tape. The second layer includes a composite of layered nanoparticles dispersed in a polyetheretherketone (PEEK) matrix. The second layer laminates the first layer. The method includes attaching the first layer and the second layer with or without the addition of further resin; using the layered insulation tape as a turn insulation and ground wall insulation for an electrically conducting material; and impregnating the system with a nanofiller-incorporated resin by a vacuum pressure impregnation method, to form an insulation system within the system.

A gas treatment machine includes a main gas treatment circuit, connected to a gas compression chamber, a gas compressor, mounted in the compression chamber, a rotating electrical machine, for driving the gas compressor, including at least one coil for the flow of electric current for generating a magnetic flux, and a secondary cooling circuit, transporting gas from the compression chamber to the rotating electrical machine, for cooling this rotating electrical machine. The coil includes at least one toroidal core formed from a rolling of a plurality of turns () each consisting of at least one conductor () insulated over the length thereof by a primary insulator (), the rolling which forms the toroidal core in turn being covered with a secondary insulator (), the primary insulator () and the secondary insulator () including PolyEtherEtherKetone.
