A closure is provided and comprises a top plate and a sidewall depending therefrom. The interior of the sidewall has a screw thread formation comprising a plurality of thread segments. The thread segments collectively define an engagement surface for engagement with an external thread formation on an associated container. A notional helical top surface with a constant pitch extends along the formation, and at least some, but not all, of the segments include material offset from the notional helical top surface towards the top plate.

Threaded closure

A closure for a container, the closure comprising a top panel, a skirt extending from the periphery of the top panel, and a tamper indicating band frangibly connected to an open end of the skirt at a line of weakness, the band including a retaining segment () on an inner surface thereof so arranged, when the closure is in a closed position on a neck of the container, to engage under an engagement surface of a retaining structure arranged on the container neck, wherein the tamper indicating band includes at least one indent () arranged on an outer surface of the tamper indicating bond.

Closure for a container, a tamper indicating band, a combination and a method

The invention relates to a tamper evident closure cap (). A tamper evident band is provided with an extension () having an upper edge () extending above an engagement surface () of a projection (). The extension () and the projections () are arranged on an annular, circumferentially running band (). When the closure is applied to a container, the extension () is clamped between the inner surface () of the tamper evident band or the closure and a retaining structure on a container finish.

Tamper evident closure cap, container and combination thereof

A closure assembly has a closure cap () adapted to be fitted to the neck of container to close the container. The cap () has an upper wall () and a cylindrical skirt () depending therefrom. A reservoir () is formed on the underside of the upper wall () radially within the skirt () and has a dispensing opening (). A closing member () is fitted into the closure cap () to close the dispensing opening in the reservoir. When the closure cap () is removed from the container, the closing member () remains held within the neck of the container and is separated from the closure cap so that the dispensing opening is opened and material contained therein is dispensed into the container. The closure cap is provided with sealing means for directly sealing against the neck of a container such as an annular wall () extendin downwardly from the underside of the upper wall of the closure cap () to fit sealingly into the neck of the container.

Container closure assembly

A plastic closure for a container is provided. The closure includes a top plate with a side skirt depending from the periphery thereof. A sealing strip depends from the top plate and is adapted to sealingly engage a container neck finish. The closure also comprises an abutment member including a guide surface for guiding the sealing strip towards the neck finish as the closure is applied, to increase the strength of the seal. The guide surface includes a guide member that projects from the abutment member, thereby minimizing friction between the strip and the abutment member. The sealing strip is inclined radially towards the neck finish to improve the sealing effect.
