Example implementations include a method, apparatus and computer-readable medium of wireless communication by a user equipment, comprising receiving at least one configuration associated with a plurality of connected mode discontinuous reception (C-DRX) cycles, wherein a first C-DRX cycle of the plurality of C-DRX cycles is associated with a set of user equipment (UE) operations and a second C-DRX cycle of the plurality of C-DRX cycles is associated with a subset of UE operations of the set of UE operations. The implementations further include transmitting data based on performance of one or more UE operations of the subset of UE operations during the second C-DRX cycle.

Customizable connected mode discontinuous reception

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) determines a transmission gap adjustment (TGA) for a first message (msgA) of a 2 step random access channel (RACH) procedure based on measurement of a reference signal transmitted by a base station as well as the radio resource configuration (RRC) configurations for msgA. In other aspects, a base station transmits a system information block (SIB) or RRC signaling that indicates at least one possible configuration of the TGA, and UEs determine the TGA depending on RRC state. Connected mode UEs having a timing alignment (TA) timer running may determine the TGA based on a previous TA. UEs in other RRC modes determine the TGA based on the possible configuration transmitted in the SIB or RRC signaling. Advantageously, 2 step RACH UEs are able to communicate with the base station without the closed loop TA information provided by a 4 step RACH.

Open loop timing control for 2-step RACH

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some wireless communications systems may support enhanced scheduling request configurations. A user equipment (UE) may obtain, at a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer of the UE, information associated with a data packet for transmission by the UE. The UE may transmit a scheduling request that indicates information regarding an elapsed time period since the information associated with the data packet was obtained at the PDCP layer of the UE, or whether the data packet is a final packet of a set of data packets, or both. A network entity may receive the scheduling request and determine scheduling information for uplink communications by the UE based on the information regarding the elapsed time period, or whether the data packet is the final data packet, or both. The network entity may transmit the scheduling information to the UE.

Enhanced scheduling request configurations for wireless communications

Techniques described provide dependent procedure operation configured for avoiding or mitigating one or more aspect of the impact on the dependent procedure of cancelling an uplink transmission. One or more attributes (e.g., a transmission indication attribute) associated with a cancelled uplink transmission may be designated for dependent procedure operation, such as for indicating whether the cancelled uplink transmission is considered either as having been transmitted or not having been transmitted. The one or more attributes associated with a cancelled uplink transmission designated for dependent procedure operation may be based upon whether the cancelling the first uplink transmission is a fast cancellation or is a slow cancellation. The designation of a transmission indication attribute for dependent procedure operation may correspond to the dependent procedure and/or its operation. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network node, an indication of a relaxation criterion associated with one or more reference signals used in performing at least one of radio link monitoring (RLM) or beam failure detection (BFD), wherein the relaxation criterion includes a mobility condition associated with the UE. The UE may perform, based at least in part on satisfying the mobility condition, one or more measurements using one or more of the reference signals and based at least in part on the relaxation criterion. A user equipment (UE) may receive a grant scheduling repetition-based system information block transmissions for the UE, the grant indicating a mapping configuration identifying time-frequency resources for a second repetition of a system information block transmission relative to a first repetition of the system information block transmission. The UE may receive, in a first subset bandwidth of a system bandwidth, the first repetition of the system information block transmission according to the grant. The UE may receive, in a second subset bandwidth of the system bandwidth, the second repetition of the system information block transmission according to the grant and based at least in part on the mapping configuration.

In some aspects, a target network node may receive, from a source network node, delay status information associated with a user equipment (UE) served by the source network node, wherein the delay status information is associated with one or more logical channels (LCHs). The target network node may receive, from the UE during a random access channel (RACH) procedure, one or more messages that include one or more delay status reports associated with the one or more LCHs. The target network node may transmit, to the UE during a handover of the UE from the source network node, one or more messages indicating one or more uplink scheduling parameters for the one or more LCHs based on the delay status information and the one or more delay status reports associated with the one or more LCHs.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration indicating a grid of traffic arrival times that includes a plurality of grids associated with respective time intervals. The UE may receive an indication to skip PDCCH monitoring based at least in part on monitoring the PDCCH during the first time interval. The UE may monitor the PDCCH during a second time interval associated with a second grid, of the plurality of grids. This disclosure relates to methods, devices, and systems for wireless communications, and more particularly to aggregating physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resource units relating to a random access message. A user equipment (UE) may identify a random access message of a random access procedure. The random access message may include a random access preamble and a random access payload. The UE may aggregate multiple PUSCH resource units of a set of PUSCH resource units associated with one or more PUSCH occasions (POs) based on one or more of a payload size of the random access payload or a modulation and coding scheme associated with the random access payload. As a result, the UE may transmit the random access payload of the random access message on a PUSCH using time and frequency resources of the aggregated multiple PUSCH resource units over the one or more POs.

Method and apparatus for delay states having variable configurations. The apparatus transmits, to a network entity, a delay status report indicating an uplink delay detected by the UE, wherein the uplink delay is greater than a first threshold. The apparatus switches, subsequent to transmitting the delay status report, from a first state configuration to a second state configuration that is different than the first state configuration for transmission of uplink data before a delay budget is exceeded. The second state configuration is a delay critical state and comprises a set of configurations for the transmission of the uplink data.
