In one embodiment for generating passthrough, a computing system may access images of an environment captured by cameras of a device worn by a user. The system may generate, based on the images, depth measurements of objects in the environment. The system may generate a mesh covering a field of view of the user and then update the mesh based on the depth measurements to represent a contour of the objects in the environment. The system may determine a first viewpoint of a first eye of the user and render a first output image based on the first viewpoint and the updated mesh. The system may then display the first output image on a first display of the device, the first display being configured to be viewed by the first eye of the user.

Systems, methods, and media for generating visualization of physical environment in artificial reality

A coordinate system of a camera of an autonomous vehicle is calibrated to a coordinate system of a LIDAR module using the hand eye equation. However, traditional solutions to the hand eye equation are based on robust rotation about three axes. While calibrating a camera of a car, there is usually robust rotation about only one axis. Degeneracy in rotation about two axes makes the traditional hand eye equation challenging to solve. A rotation vector is defined that has a scaling value. By using the rotation vector, the hand eye equation can be solved to calibrate a pose of the camera to a pose of the LIDAR module.

Systems and methods for convex relaxations and linear approximations for optimal power flow in multiphase radial networks

Node controllers and power distribution networks in accordance with embodiments of the invention enable distributed power control. One embodiment includes a node controller comprising a memory containing: a plurality of node operating parameters; and a plurality of node operating parameters describing operating parameters for a set of at least one node selected from the group consisting of at least one downstream node and at least one upstream node; wherein the processor is configured by the node controller application to: receive and store in memory a plurality of coordinator parameters describing operating parameters of a node coordinator by the network interface; and calculate updated node operating parameters using an iterative gradient projection process to determine updated node parameters using node operating parameters that describe operating parameters of node and operating parameters of the set of at least one node, where each iteration is determined by the coordinator parameters.
