Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an adhesive formulation comprising a high viscosity silyl modified polymer. In some embodiments, the adhesive formulation may further comprise additional components, such as but not limited to, at least one moisture scavenger, at least one adhesion promoter, at least one catalyst, at least one filler, at least one plasticizer, at least one antioxidant, or any combination thereof. In some embodiments, the adhesive formulation may exclude a low viscosity polymer. In some embodiments, the adhesive formulation may include a low viscosity polymer in no more than a specified amount. At least one method of using the adhesive formulation and at least one roofing system comprising the adhesive formulation are also described herein.

Adhesive formulations for roofing applications and related methods

Systems and methods are described herein for manufacturing and using roofing membranes that are faster and easier to install than conventional adhesive-only membrane materials. In some embodiments, membrane materials are surface treated using a plasma flow, e.g., a blown-arc plasma flow, atmospheric plasma, corona plasma, or from portable plasma units, generated by passing a compressed plasma-generating gas through an electrical current to form the plasma-treated roofing membrane. The plasma treatments described herein may be applied as part of the manufacturing process, or in-situ at the site of roof installation. In some embodiments, membrane materials have surface chemistries, roughnesses and other surface characteristics that yield desired adhesion properties.

Roofing membranes with improved adhesive bonding strength

This invention relates to a method and system of applying a fluid material to a roofing surface. By modifying a peristaltic pump-driven sprayer device, a fluid material having a viscosity of 10,000 to 40,000 centipoise at 25° C. can be effectively sprayed onto a roofing surface. Additionally, the use of a modified peristaltic pump-driven sprayer device allows for the fluid material to be applied onto the roofing surface at a faster rate than other spraying methods.

This invention relates to a method and system of applying a fluid material to a roofing surface. By modifying a peristaltic pump-driven sprayer device, a fluid material having a viscosity of 10,000 to 40,000 centipoise at 25&#xb0; C. can be effectively sprayed onto a roofing surface. This invention, in embodiments, relates to a device and a method of attaching a roofing membrane to a building surface that prevents and/or reduces overspray of adhesive onto a welding seam area. The device includes an insertion mechanism configured to hold a roofing membrane as the roofing membrane is being attached to a building surface via an adhesive, and an extension frame attached to the insertion mechanism, the extension frame including a channel that is configured to support and to hold at least one board, to thereby reduce the adhesive from spraying onto a welding seam area as the roofing membrane is being applied to the building surface.

Various low VOC compositions of the present disclosure may be suitable for use as surface cleaners. In an exemplary embodiment, the disclosed composition may be used to clean membranes used on roofs and in the roofing industry. In an exemplary embodiment, the disclosed composition comprises various concentrations of soy extract and parachlorobenzotrifluoride (PCBTF). In an embodiment, the composition may further include a VOC and a filler.
