A pre-sintered porcelain block for dental restoration; the pre-sintered porcelain block does not contain crystal phases and has a Vickers hardness of 0.5-2 GPa. Due to a hardness which is significantly lower than that of the porcelain block containing a lithium metasilicate crystal phase, the pre-sintered porcelain block may be processed by using dry machining and can simultaneously be processed by using wet machining when being mechanically processed into a dental restoration shape.

A dual-purpose sintering furnace including a furnace body having a furnace chamber, a first furnace mouth and a second furnace mouth which are communicated with the furnace chamber, a furnace door hinged to the furnace body and configured for closing the first furnace mouth, a blocking member lap-jointed inside the furnace chamber and configured for blocking the second furnace mouth, a sample stage, an ejection rod fixedly arranged on a sample placement face of the sample stage, a lifting device configured for driving the sample stage to raise or lower, so that the ejection rod pushes the blocking member until the second furnace mouth is opened, and so that the sample stage enters the furnace chamber through the second furnace mouth. The coloring agents are a combination of two or more rare earth metal compounds, wherein the rare earth metal compounds having rare earth metal ions selected from the group consisting of praseodymium (Pr) ions, erbium (Er) ions, cerium (Ce) ions, and neodymium (Nd) ions. The concentration of the rare earth metal ions in the solution is 0.05&#x2dc;3 mol/liter solvent. The present invention relates to a method for changing translucency of zirconia dental materials through applying an yttrium or ytterbium salt solution onto a pre-sintered zirconia material by dipping or brush-coating. Accordingly, the need of young patient in relation to the translucent requirement for incisal portion of anterior teeth is met in which the translucent level from the crown neck to the incisal portion is gradually changed in a natural manner, similar to natural teeth. A color gradient effect of the crown is produced through dipping in or brush-coating with yttrium or ytterbium salt solution. Moreover, the present invention involves simple operating steps and low cost while providing high consistency in quality.
