Various embodiments include synchronization of camera focus movement control with frame capture. In some embodiments, such synchronization may comprise synchronized focus movement control that is based at least in part on integration timing and/or region of interest (ROI) timing. According to some examples, an actuator of a camera module may be controlled such that a lens group and/or an image sensor of the camera module move towards a focus position during one or more time periods (e.g., a non-integration time period in which the image sensor is not being exposed, a non-ROI time period in which a ROI of the image sensor is not being exposed for image capture, and/or a blanking interval, etc.). Additionally, or alternatively, the actuator may be controlled such that the lens group and the image sensor do not move relative to each other in a focus direction during one or more other time periods (e.g., an integration time period in which the image sensor is being exposed, a ROI time period in which the ROI of the image sensor is being exposed, etc.).

Synchronization of camera focus movement control with frame capture

This application relates to a technique that enables efficient indexing and querying of a set of documents stored at a computing device. The technique assigns a rank to each term of a set of terms based on a historical occurrence of each term to produce a set of ranked terms. The technique also creates subsets that include terms from the set of ranked terms to produce ranked term subsets that are encoded in accordance with an allocated bit size. The technique generates an index for each document of the set of documents through: (1) the identification of the ranked term subsets within the document, (2) the generation of arrays to store each ranked term subset identified within the document, and (3) the embedding of metadata within the document. The metadata includes: (i) one or more arrays and (ii) one or more counts corresponding to each array.

Techniques for indexing and querying a set of documents at a computing device

Methods and systems are disclosed using linear expressions for machine learning (ML) models for ranking search results. In one example, a method for a computer trains a ML model into a decision tree for ranking search results. The decision tree is converted into a linear expression including Boolean terms. The linear expression is transmitted to one or more search computers that use the linear expression to rank search results for a search query. According to another example, a method for a computer having a search engine includes receiving a linear expression including Boolean terms representing a decision tree. The search engine processes a search query and uses the linear expression to rank search results for the search query.

Methods and systems using linear expressions for machine learning models to rank search results

A system may include an array of storage devices configured to store a data. The system may further include an array of processing nodes in communication with the array of storage devices. The array of processing nodes may receive a request to perform at least one task associated with the data. The request may include a function call to a function configured to operate on a first data table and a second data table included in the data. The array of processing nodes may partition the first data table among respective subsets of the processing nodes based on a partition key. The array of processing nodes may distribute the second data table among the partitions based on the partition key. The array of processing nodes may execute the function on the first data table and the second data table at each of the partitions. A method and computer-readable medium may also be implemented.
