A fluidic coupling device includes a housing, and a piston, spring, and cap insertable in the housing. The spring includes a stack of spring washers and is compressible between the cap and the the piston. The cap is threadedly engageable with the housing and movable into contact with the spring. The device may be coupled to a component in a sealed manner by inserting a ferrule between the piston and the component, inserting a conduit through the housing and into the component, and threadedly engaging the housing with the component, thereby compressing the spring and translating the piston against the ferrule. The device may enable coupling to be done manually, with minimal variation in compressive loading. The piston and spring may desensitize the device to thermal cycling effects, reducing the need for retightening.

Fluidic coupling devices, assemblies, and related methods

An apparatus for collecting lubricant, such as from a vacuum pump, is disclosed. In certain embodiments the apparatus includes a cabinet for retaining a vacuum pump and a variable depth basin beneath the cabinet for collecting lubricant from a vacuum pump. In specific implementations the variable depth basin is deepest proximate the front of the cabinet.

In certain embodiments the cabinet includes a top surface and at least one side surface. Portions of these top and side surfaces are removable from the cabinet to allow access to a vacuum pump that can be placed within the cabinet.

An apparatus and method for adjusting the orientation of a lubricant-retaining basin is disclosed. The apparatus includes a cabinet configured for retaining a vacuum pump and a lubricant-retaining basin. A rotatable member engages the lubricant-retaining basin and elevates the back end of the basin to permit drainage of lubricant from the front end of the basin.
