Techniques for providing secured, automatic log-in and authentication of a user to a website via a browser executing at the user's personal electronic device (PED) include generating a token based on an identifier of the PED and a user identifier, and storing the token at the user's PED for use in validating and authenticating the user and device credentials against those stored at back-end system and/or in another memory location at the device. Based on the persisted token (and optionally on a user preference), the user may be automatically logged in as the user navigates across restricted and unrestricted portions of the website, and/or to other websites (e.g., without the user's knowledge). At least these features enable automatic log-in and authentication to be performed on an as-needed basis, and/or on a per-device basis, thereby providing significantly more secure access as compared to known techniques.

A method of providing secure access to prescription information includes transmitting a text message including a short URL with a secure token to a device, receiving the secure token, transmitting to the device when the token matches, receiving a refill request; and transmitting a confirmation. Systems and methods for secure prescription status updates using a mobile device

Systems and methods are disclosed for providing secure electronic access to prescription status information on a mobile device. An example method includes, in response to receiving a status request message determining a user corresponding the mobile device associated with the status request message, and providing a refill status message comprising a short uniform resource locator (URL) to the mobile device associated with the status request message. The short URL is generated based on (i) a web address for a prescription status webpage associated with the user and (ii) an authentication token associated with the user. The example method includes, upon receiving a request to access the short URL, validating, by the at least one processor, the request based on stored authentication data. The example methods includes providing access to the prescription status webpage on the mobile device upon obtaining authorization to electronically access protected health information (PHI) of the user.

A system for associating a person under the legal guardianship of a user with a profile of the user for managing and refilling medications is disclosed. An electronic device of the user captures a digital image of medication information of the person under the user's legal guardianship. Visual identifiers in the medication information encode information regarding the person such as medication information. The electronic device may transmit a request on behalf of the user to associate the person under the user's legal guardianship with a profile of the user for managing medications and other requests on behalf of the person under the user's legal guardianship.
