The present invention relates to breathable, vented, and insulating cold weather garments. More particularly, the present invention relates to garments with chambers to retain an insulating fill material. Perforations along the seams between the insulating chambers may achieve optimal evaporative moisture transfer from the inside (proximal to the body of a wearer) of the garment to the outside environment.

Cold weather vented garment

An elastomeric tape having a shape configuration that provides an enhanced longitudinal stretch characteristic is provided herein. The exemplary tape comprises a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, a first side and a second side opposite the first side where the first side comprises a series of alternating peaks and troughs and the second side comprises a series of alternating peaks and troughs.

Aspects herein relates to a garment designed to provide an enhanced range of motion. This is accomplished by having a layered construction comprising different fabric/textile materials where the enhanced range of motion is desired. The garment in accordance with aspects herein particularly provides an enhanced range of motion for a wearer around the shoulders and arms. The first panel is generally located on a medial portion of the sleeve, and the second panel and the third panel are generally located on a lateral portion of the sleeve. The sleeves may also comprise an elastically resilient panel positioned adjacent at least the second panel, such that the elastically resilient panel provides increased range of motion for a wearer.

A sleeve gusset for securing an exterior shell layer of an apparel item and an inner liner layer of an apparel item to a sleeve of an apparel item and a method of manufacturing a sleeve gusset is provided. The sleeve gusset comprises an interior facing with a sleeve edge and a body edge and an exterior facing with a sleeve edge and a body edge. The sleeve edge of the exterior facing is coupled to the exterior shell layer of the apparel item while the sleeve edge of the interior facing is coupled to the sleeve. The body edge of the exterior facing is coupled to the body edge of the interior facing. The body edge of the interior facing is further coupled to the inner liner layer.

A cuff for an article of clothing includes various components, such as one or more flexible members for adjusting a fit of the cuff. One flexible member might be used to tighten and loosen a fit of the cuff. Another flexible member might serve a dual purpose to adjust a fit of the cuff and to provide a thumb loop.

A neckline gusset for securing an exterior shell layer of an apparel item to an inner liner layer of the apparel item at a neckline region of the apparel item is provided. The neckline gusset comprises an outer edge corresponding in shape to the neckline of the exterior shell layer, an inner edge corresponding in shape to the neckline of the inner liner layer, a first center-front gusset edge connecting the outer edge to the inner edge at a first end of the neckline gusset, and a second center-front gusset edge connecting the outer edge to the inner edge at a second end of the neckline gusset. The first and second center-front gusset edges curve inwardly into the body of the neckline gusset and form acute angles with both the outer edge and the inner edge of the neckline gusset.
