A surgical frame and method for use thereof is provided. The surgical frame is capable of reconfiguration before, during, or after surgery using a moveable main beam supporting a patient thereon. The surgical frame includes a translating lower beam that is moveable between at least a first lateral position and a second lateral position, and a linkage and/or surgical equipment supportively and moveably attached to the translating lower beam or interconnected with the translating lower beam via the linkage. The linkage and/or the surgical equipment are moveable between a first position at or adjacent a first end of the translating lower beam and a second position at or adjacent a second end of the translating lower beam. The translating lower beam is used to join a first support portion and a second support portion of the surgical frame to one another, and movement of the translating lower beam affords access to a patient receiving area. A linear movement mechanism can be used to facilitate movement of the linkage and/or the surgical equipment along the translating lower beam to avoid interference with the main beam or the translating lower beam.

A spinal implant comprises an implant body extending between an anterior surface and a posterior surface and includes a first vertebral engaging surface and a second vertebral engaging surface. The implant body includes an inner surface that defines at least one cavity that is oriented to implant a fastener oblique relative to a lateral axis of a subject body and adjacent an intervertebral space of the subject body. At least one indicia is disposed with the implant body to facilitate orientation of the implant body with the subject body. Systems and methods are disclosed.

Spinal implant system and method

A spinal implant comprises an implant body extending between an anterior surface and a posterior surface, and including a first vertebral engaging surface and a second vertebral engaging surface. The implant body includes an inner surface that defines at least a first cavity and a second cavity. The cavities are oriented to implant fasteners in alignment with an oblique surgical pathway relative to a bilateral axis of a subject body and adjacent an anterior portion of an intervertebral space of the subject body. An implant with an interference fit fastener for attaching the implant to a bone. The interference fit prevents backout of the fastener after the attachment. The implant may include a passage with a first end and second end. The passage may include a first interference section between the first and second ends. A fastener with an elongated shape may be sized to extend through the passage to attach the implant to the bone. The fastener may include a second interference section. During insertion of the fastener through the passage and into the bone, the second interference section of the fastener may contact against and modify or be modified by the first interference section of the passage. This modification may create the interference fit between the implant and the fastener that prevents backout. The interference sections may remain in contact or may move apart once the fastener is fully attached to the bone.

Methods and devices for spacing vertebral members using modular intervertebral devices and insertion tools. The devices may include opposing first and second endplates, and an intermediate member configured to fit between and support the endplates. The insertion tool may include an elongated handle and a distracter. A method of inserting the device using the tool may include inserting the endplates positioned on opposing sides of the handle into the intervertebral space and positioning the endplates in the intervertebral space relative to first and second vertebral members. The method may include deploying the distracter and increasing a distance between the endplates. Another step may include inserting the intermediate member into the intervertebral space and between the endplates and supporting the endplates with the intermediate member. The insertion tool may then be removed from the intervertebral space.

An implantable medical device may include an implant member having an aperture extending therethrough. An anchor member may be configured to extend through the aperture. A locking ring may be supplied to inhibit back-out of the anchor member.

Vertebral implants for spacing apart vertebral members. The implants may include a spacer with a first side and a second side that contact the vertebral members. A sidewall may extend between the first and second sides. Two or more mounts are positioned along the sidewall. A flange may be connected to the spacer at the mounts. The flange extends beyond one or both of the first and second sides to position the spacer relative to the vertebral members. In some embodiments, the spacer further includes one or more insertion features that facilitate insertion of the spacer between the vertebral members.

Intervertebral implants with attachable flanges and methods of use

The present application is directed to intervertebral implants including teeth arranged in a radial pattern to resist expulsion in multiple directions. The teeth may include a variety of shapes and orientations. In one embodiment, the implant includes an annular shape with a central opening. The implant may further be tapered along a section or entirety of an insertion edge to distract the adjacent vertebral members upon insertion of the implant into the intervertebral space.
