An applicator tool for animal ear tags the applicator tool having a tag reception area in which a tag to be applied can be located. Tag engagement means are coupled with operative means whereby the tag engagement means can apply a force to at least part of the tag in the tag reception area to apply the tag to an animal. The applicator tool includes tag location means with which a plurality of tags which are conjoined by lugs can be located. Tag transport means which is operative to transport a tag from the plurality of conjoined tags to the tag reception means. Removing means is provided for removing a single tag to be transported from the plurality of conjoined tags.

Ear tag applicator

An applicator tool for applying identification tags to animals having a movable applicator member which is lever controllable. A magazine into which a plurality of tags can be individually loaded is mounted on the applicator such that it can be indexed to place a tag located therein into a position whereby the applicator member can engage, during operation of the applicator tool, with a part of the tag. That part of the tag can then be moved through an opening in the portion of the animal to which the tag is to be applied such that the tag becomes installed in that portion of the animal.

Applicator tool

An applicator tool comprising a body with a lever pivotally mounted with the body. An applicator needle is coupled via a coupling arrangement to the lever. The applicator needle is adapted at the free end thereof to engage with the leading portion of a tag. Overall the applicator needle is of curved shape and it is located by guide means such that as the lever is pivotally moved this movement is reflected in movement of the applicator needle on an arcuate path.

A one piece tag formed from a resilient plastics material comprises a mounting member and a pair of panels attached thereto. The mounting member has a pair of limb portions coupled together by an intermediate portion. A panel extends from the end of each limb portion. Coupling means is provided adjacent the free end of one panel and an applicator tool can engage the tag via the coupling means. The panel is thus able to be forced through an object, such as the ear of an animal, by the applicator so that the intermediate portion resides within the opening formed in the object and a panel lies either side of the opening.

An animal ear tag applicator tool comprising a first lever and a second lever forming handles and coupled to each other by pivot means to be pivotable about a pivot axis. First and second jaws are actuatable by the levers and each jaw is provided with retention means for retaining a part of an animal ear tag. The tool is characterized by the pivot means being an open central pivot with the center of the pivot being in open communication with the space between the jaws at the open and closed positions of the jaws as well as during movement of the jaws between the open and closed positions.
