The present invention provides a side-edge backlight module, which includes a backplane, a light guide plate arranged inside the backplane, and a backlight source mounted to the backplane. The backlight source includes a circuit board and a plurality of LED lights mounted to the circuit board and electrically connected to the circuit board. The circuit board includes a mounting section and a bent section connected to the mounting section. The LED lights are mounted to the mounting section. The bent section is coupled to the backplane. The light guide plate is supported on the bent section. The side-edge backlight module of the present invention uses a MCPCB having a bent section to replace the conventional heat dissipation arrangement that attaches an MCPCB through thermal paste to an aluminum extrusion in order to improve the performance of heat dissipation and enhance the quality of backlight module.

Side-edge backlight module

A backlight module has a light guide plate, a back plate and light emitting assemblies. The light guide plate is substantially prism-like. The back plate has a shape corresponding to that of the light guide plate, and has an inclined first side plate and an inclined second side plate opposite to the first side plate. Each of the first and second side plates has at least one receiving recess, and the light emitting assemblies are received in the receiving recesses. In comparison with a side-light type backlight module, the present invention saves a heat-dissipation aluminum extrusion member. In comparison with a direct-light type backlight module, the present invention shortens the light mixing distance in a vertical direction, so as to reduce the module thickness.

Backlight module

The present invention provides a backlight module and a display apparatus. The display apparatus comprises the backlight module and a display panel. The backlight module comprises a light guide plate and a light source. The light guide plate has an out light surface. The light source is positioned at a side of the light guide plate, wherein the light source comprises a light source out light surface, and a predetermined angle exists between the light source out light surface and the out light surface of the light guide plate. The present invention is capable of promoting the light leakage issue.

Backlight module and display apparatus

The present invention provides a backlight module and a display apparatus. The backlight module comprises at least two light sources; a plurality of light guide units corresponding to the light sources and disposed at one side thereof; and at least one reflective layer formed between the two adjacent light sources, wherein a portion of the reflective layer extends between two of the light guide units corresponding to the two light sources. The present invention can enhance the number of the locally dimmed regions and improve the light interference problem between the different lighting regions.

The present invention provides a light guide plate and a manufacturing method thereof. The manufacturing method firstly forms a plurality of spherical recesses arranged at intervals on a light-emitting surface of a light guide plate body when the light guide plate body is formed by pressing, and then applies a diffuser particle with corresponding shape on a surface of each of the spherical recesses, so as to complete the manufacture of the light guide plate. When being mounted in a backlight module, the light guide plate benefits the backlight module of reducing the use of diffuser films, so as to reduce the thickness and weight of the backlight module.
