The present invention relates to a self-assembling polypeptide, such as a silk polypeptide including a spider silk polypeptide, for use as tissue adhesive. The present invention also relates to the use of a self-assembling polypeptide such as a silk polypeptide as tissue adhesive. Further, the invention is directed to the use of a self-assembling polypeptide such as a silk polypeptide to glue one or more cosmetic compounds on skin, mucosa, and/or hair. Furthermore, the invention is directed to a self-assembling polypeptide such as a silk polypeptide for use in gluing one or more pharmaceutical compounds on tissue, skin, mucosa, and/or hair.

Use of self-assembling polypeptides as tissue adhesives

The present application relates to the use of a structural polypeptide such as silk derived polypeptide (preferably spider web derived polypeptide) for coating seed, plant, or plant part, preferably to protect against pest infestation. The present application further relates to a method for plant coating or plant seed coating and to a plant or plant seed coated with a structural polypeptide.

The present invention provides methods for producing a silk protein spinning dope solution suitable for producing high toughness fibres, the thus produced silk protein spinning dope solution, methods for producing fibres using said silk protein spinning dope solution.

Methods for producing high toughness silk fibres

The present invention relates to a self-assembling polypeptide for use as tissue adhesive. The present invention also relates to the use of a self-assembling polypeptide as tissue adhesive. The present invention relates to a method of isolating an insoluble target protein from a suspension of intact or disrupted host cells. The invention also relates to insoluble target proteins which are obtainable by said method, in particular to silk proteins.
