A method and a device for restraining edge touches are provided. The device acquires locations of one or more touch points sensed by a terminal at two edges of a screen of the terminal. The device determines a holding manner indicating how the terminal is held according to the locations of the one or more touch points. When the holding manner is a single-hand holding manner indicating that the terminal is held by a single hand, the device determines to trigger a touch restraining detection in a restraining region at one edge of the screen corresponding to the single-hand holding manner, such that touch points sensed within the restraining region do not trigger the terminal to respond to operations input by a user.

Method and device for restraining edge touches

Methods and devices are provided for waking up a screen in the field of application of electronic technologies. The method may be implemented by a device including a screen and a frame at least partially surrounding the screen. In the method, the device activates at least one temperature transducer according to a predetermined sequence when the screen is in an off state, where the at least one temperature transducer is disposed at least partially in the frame. The device may obtain a temperature measurement through the activated temperature transducer. When any one of the temperature measurement is within a preset range of temperature, the device may trigger the screen to be switched from the off state to an on state.

The number of updated pixels of the display screen each time may be reduced, while the original refresh frequency is maintained, so the problem that the splash screen phenomena is caused in the display screen by reducing the refresh frequency of the display screen may be solved, thus achieving effects of avoiding the splash screen phenomena of the display screen and of reducing the power consumption of the display screen while maintaining the original refresh frequency of the display screen.
