The invention primarily relates to an assembly, in particular for a hybrid vehicle, wherein the assembly comprises; an enclosure () for receiving a coolant liquid and having an opening () for bringing the inside of the enclosure () into communication with the outside of the enclosure (), a rotary electric machine () arranged in the enclosure () able to be cooled by the coolant liquid, an electrical connector element () arranged to be electrically connected to the rotary electric machine (), the connector element () being sealingly mounted in the opening () of the enclosure () in such a way that the connector element () participates in the sealing that prevents the liquid from flowing from the inside of the enclosure () to the outside of the enclosure () via the opening ().

A rotor with permanent magnets for a rotary electric machine including a plurality of alternating north poles and south poles and made up of a plurality of permanent magnets arranged in first recesses extending axially and distributed regularly between a circumferential portion and a central portion of the magnetic mass of the rotor such as to define a plurality of circumferential polar sections, the first recesses being separated by central tabs with a thickness E, the permanent magnets having a polygonal radial section that comprises a substantially rectangular portion next to the circumferential portion adjacent to a substantially trapezoidal portion next to the central portion. The rotor having a ratio R0 (h/E) of a first height h of the trapezoidal portion to the thickness E of a central tab is predetermined such as to maximize the efficiency of the electric machine.

A rotor for an electric machine comprises a central core, arms extending radially relative to the core, these arms each comprising two rims extending on either side of the arms, permanent magnets positioned inside housings that are delimited by opposing lateral faces of adjacent arms, an outer face of the core extending between adjacent arms, and the rims of the arms of the rotor. Plates made from a material more flexible than the permanent magnets are positioned between the rims of the arms and the face of the permanent magnet facing away from the axis of the rotor to hold the magnets. The plate having, in the axial direction, a height close to the height of the permanent magnets, the ratio between the width of the plate and that of the magnet being between 0.9 and 1.1, without being equal to 1.

A dimensional ratio of a first outer diameter (D) of the rotor () to a second outer diameter (D) of the stator () is pre-determined so that the motor provides optimum efficiency. The dimensional ratio is pre-determined in such a way that the stator losses by Joule effect are reduced to a minimum. The synchronous electric motor is employed in electric compressors for motor vehicles.

The pole sections have a pre-determined pole pitch (Thetarho) and comprise a lobe-forming radial section (). The lobe-forming radial section partially covers the magnets, such as to maximize a useful magnetic flux (PhiU) flowing radially through each of the pole sections and to minimize a leakage magnetic flux flowing through the circumferential portion. The pole sections can have a pre-determined pole overlap angle (Thetar) such as to maximize the useful magnetic flux (PhiU) and to minimize the leakage magnetic flux (PhiL), said overlap angle (Thetar) being a viewing angle of the lobe () from a point on the axis of the rotor.

The rotor comprises of a plurality of alternating north poles (N) and south poles (S) formed from a plurality of permanent magnets () having a radial polygonal section and arranged in first recesses (). These first recesses extend axially and are distributed regularly between a circumferential portion () and a central portion () of the magnetic mass () of the rotor in such a way as to define a plurality of circumferential polar sections (). The radial section comprises a substantially rectangular portion () next to the circumferential portion adjacent to a substantially trapezoidal portion () next to the central portion. The rotor has a ratio (R) between a first height (h) of the trapezoidal portion and a second height (H) of the rectangular portion, in a radial direction, is predetermined in such a way as to maximize the efficiency of the electric machine.

A rotor () comprising a plurality of alternating magnetic poles formed by permanent magnets () distributed regularly between a circumferential portion () and a central portion () of the magnetic body () of the rotor and defining circumferential pole sections (). The circumferential portion comprises axial grooves () which are arranged between the pole sections facing the magnets and which form openings in recesses () containing the magnets. The openings have a pre-determined first width (a) such as to minimize a leakage magnetic flux (PhiL) flowing through the circumferential portion () and to maximize a useful magnetic flux (PhiU) flowing radially through each of the pole sections ().

A rotor () for a rotary electrical machine, which includes two pole wheels () having a series of axial claw poles () of a trapezoidal overall shape which extend axially from the extreme radial outer edge of the pole wheel () toward the other pole wheel (), such that each pole claw () of a pole wheel () is situated in the space which exists between two consecutive claw poles () of the other pole wheel (). The rotor () includes magnetic assemblies () in the interpole space (). An assembly () is composed of at least one magnetic member () and at least one magnet (), received in a groove () made in each of the facing edge faces of the two adjacent claw poles (). This has the advantage of increasing the cross-section for the flow of rotor flux towards the stator, and of enabling the same milling cutter as has already been used to make the grooves in the edge faces of the claw poles.

Interpole assembly for rotary electrical machine

In a rotary electrical machine, the stator is subject to eddy currents, causing losses. These losses are reduced by extending the path of the eddy currents whilst avoiding causing saturation. The invention therefore proposes to form recessed zones or slots () in the teeth () of the stator whose depth does not exceed one-half of the height of the tooth ().
