An applicator device for applying at least one agent to a target site, including: a rigid section configured for the passage of fluid therethrough, the rigid section having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion, the proximal end portion configured for communication with at least one fluid reservoir; a formable section attached to the distal end portion of the rigid section, the formable section configured to be shaped into a desired configuration, the formable section including at least a first lumen and a second lumen, the first lumen configured to receive fluid from the rigid section; and a malleable member positioned within the second lumen, wherein the malleable member is configured to assist in retaining the formable section in the desired configuration.

Sealant applicator with malleable section

A system includes a first container having a wall defining a receptacle, a neck defining an opening, and a flip cap disposed over the opening, and a second container having a wall defining a receptacle, a neck defining an opening, and a flip cap disposed over the opening. The system also includes a carrier having first and second carrier pieces disposed about the first and second containers and attached together with the first and second containers secured therebetween. The system further includes a top cap attached to the flip caps to secure the first and second containers together and to simultaneously remove the flip caps from the containers.

Packaging for multiple medical containers

A tissue sealant applicator system includes a tissue sealant applicator having an elongate body forming a bore containing a tissue sealant component, a piston, and a spray adaptor in fluid communication with the bore and forming a gas flow path. The system also includes a control unit adapted to be connected to a gas source, and a first gas passageway connecting the gas flow path and the control unit. The applicator includes an actuating member cooperatively associated with the piston to eject the tissue sealant from the bore upon user actuation. The control unit is adapted to supply gas from the gas source to the first gas passageway essentially simultaneously with user actuation of the actuating member, and to permit the supply of gas to the spray adaptor from the gas source to continue to flow for a predetermined time delay after the user stops actuating the actuating member.

Tissue sealant applicator system

An applicator includes a bore for containing a sealant component, a piston moveably positioned in the bore, a plunger member connected to the piston with a distal end disposed within the bore and a proximal end depending from the bore, a distal outlet communicating with the bore and connectable to a gas source, and an actuating member carried by the proximal end of the plunger member to move with the plunger member as the plunger member moves along the bore. The applicator may be used in a system with a gas source connected to the distal outlet, and a control unit connected to the actuating member and the gas source, the control unit adapted to supply gas to the distal outlet from the gas source essentially simultaneous with a force applied to the actuating member.

Hand triggered tissue sealant spray apparatus and system

The present invention is generally directed to various structures for applying a sealant to a work surface. In one aspect of the invention, a sealant applicator assembly is provided for use with an apparatus of the type having an elongated body defining an interior bore and having a piston movably positioned in the bore and a pusher member operatively associated with the piston. The assembly comprises a spray adaptor adapted to communicate with the bore of the body and defining a distal outlet. A first gas passageway is cooperatively associated with the distal outlet and configured to direct gas to create a spray discharge of the sealant. An actuating member is adapted to be cooperative associated with a pusher member to eject sealant through the distal outlet and is operative to simultaneously actuate a supply of gas to the first gas passageway for creating a spray discharge of sealant.

The present invention provides a multiple layer thermoplastic structure of a (1) skin layer selected from the group consisting of polypropylene, ethylene homopolymers having a density of from about 0.930 g/cc to about 0.960 g/cc, and ethylene homopolymers having a density of from about 0.930 g/cc to about 0.960 g/cc blended with an ethylene and a-olefin copolymers having a density less than about 0.930 g/cc, the skin layer having a thickness of greater than about 3.0 mils; (2) a radio frequency susceptible layer adhered to the skin layer, the radio frequency susceptible layer having a dielectric loss greater than 0.05 at 1-60 MHz and at temperatures of ambient to 250&deg; C., the radio frequency susceptible layer having: (a) a first polyolefin selected from the group consisting of polypropylene and polypropylene copolymers, (b) a second polyolefin selected from the group consisting of ethylene copolymers, ultra-low density polyethylene, polybutene, and butene ethylene copolymers; (c) a radio frequency susceptible polymer selected from the group consisting of (i) ethylene copolymers having 50-85% ethylene content with comonomers selected from a first group consisting of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid, ester derivatives of acrylic acid with alcohols having 1-10 carbons, ester derivatives of methacrylic acid with alcohols having 1-10 carbons, vinyl acetate, and vinyl alcohol (ii) homopolymers and copolymers containing at least one segment of urethanes, esters, ureas, imides, sulfones, and amides, and (d) a compatibilizing agent of a styrene and hydrocarbon copolymer; wherein the structure when fabricated into a 50 ml container has a water vapor transmission rate of less than 8% by weight after the container has been autoclaved at 121&deg; C. for 20 minutes and stored for 90 days in an environmentally regulated compartment having 15% relative humidity at 40&deg; C.
