A composition is provided that includes a universal hydrophobic active ingredient of modified silicone polymer forming a microemulsion in water, and a water miscible organic solvent to produce a clear and transparent solution that cleans and leaves a hydrophobic film on a glass substrate when dried. A process of applying the same is also provided.

The set of connectors includes a first connector having a structure to receive and be connected to at least two different wiper arms that are part of a first class of wiper arms. A wash pod is provided that includes unit dose of anhydrous wash concentrate surfactant containing at least one cationic surfactant and at least one nonionic surfactant in water soluble hygroscopic polymeric package containing the concentrate. The film encapsulates the wash formula unit dose and dissolves when placed in a bucket of water while also being chemically and physically strong enough to hold a more preferred alkaline formula as well as to remain stable during storage is provided. A low volatile organic compound (VOC) car wash formula that is highly concentrated with a low water content and contains nonionic and cationic surfactants to promote cleaning, foaming and beading, while also containing a small amount of carnauba wax is also provided. The formulation of the car wash detergent provides a streak free low residue finish on a cleaned surface.

Vehicle wash pod

A process of protecting a vehicle wheel or hub is provided that includes the application to the vehicle wheel or hub of a composition. The composition includes a water soluble polymeric film former, a plasticizer and a carrier that solubilizes or suspends the film former and the plasticizer. After allowing the composition to dry to form a coating, the coating is exposed to debris contaminants. The coating and the debris contaminants are then removed. The coating is readily removed by water washing alone.

A method for assessing a corrosion inhibitor in a coolant, comprises providing a test kit comprising a first chamber containing an acid buffer and a solvent immiscible therein and a second chamber containing an indicator, the second chamber being in fluid communication with the first chamber and being configured such that retraction of the second chamber draws fluid into the first chamber and advancement forces fluid into the second chamber; drawing a coolant sample into the first chamber; contacting the coolant sample with the acid buffer and solvent in the first chamber and extracting the corrosion inhibitor into the solvent; allowing the solvent and buffer to separate in the first chamber; forcing a portion of the separated solvent into the second chamber; contacting the separated solvent with the indicator in the second chamber, and obtaining a visual indication of the presence of corrosion inhibitor in the coolant sample.
