Luminescent solar concentrator (L8C) of neutral coloration comprising: &#x2014;at least one first sheet comprising a matrix of a transparent material and at least one first photoluminescent organic compound having an absorption interval within the range 400 nm to 550 nm, preferably within the range 420 nm to 500 mrs, and an emission interval within the range 500 nm to 650 nm, preferably within the range 520 mn to 620 nm; &#x2014;at least one second sheet comprising a matrix of a transparent material and at least one second photoluminescent organic compound having an absorption interval within the range 420 nm to 650 nm, preferably within the range 480 nm to 600 nm, and an emission interval within the range 580 mn and 750 nm, preferably within the range 600 nm and 700 nm; &#x2014;at least one third sheet comprising a matrix of a transparent material and at least one third, optionally photoluminescent, organic compound having an absorption interval within the range 550 nm to 750 nm, preferably within the range 570 nrn to 700 nm, and an emission interval within the range 700 nrn to 900 nm, preferably within the range 740 nm to 850 nm. Said luminescent solar concentrator of neutral coloration may be used advantageously in various applications requiring the production of electrical energy by exploiting light energy, in particular solar radiation energy such as, for example: building/integrated photovoltaic (BiPV) systems, photovoltaic windows, greenhouses, photo bioreactors, noise barriers, lighting engineering, design, advertising, automotive industry.

Luminescent solar concentrator (LSC) comprising at least one solution including at least one photoluminescent compound and at least one polyether polyol. Said luminescent solar concentrator (LSC) can be advantageously used in photovoltaic devices (or solar devices) such as, for example, photovoltaic cells (or solar cells), photoelectrolytic cells. In addition, said luminescent solar concentrator (LSC) can be advantageously used in photovoltaic windows.

Disubstituted diaryloxybenzoheterodiazole compound of general formula (1): in which:&#x2014;Z represents a sulfur atom, an oxygen atom, a selenium atom; or an NRgroup in which Ris selected from linear or branched C-C, preferably C-C, alkyl groups, or from optionally substituted aryl groups;&#x2014;R, Rand Rare as defined in the claims. The said disubstituted diaryloxybenzoheterodiazole compound of general formula (I) can advantageously be used as a spectrum converter in luminescent solar concentrators (LSCs) which are in turn capable of improving the performance of photovoltaic devices (or solar devices) selected, for example, from photovoltaic cells (or solar cells), photovoltaic modules (or solar modules) on either a rigid substrate or a flexible substrate.

Luminescent solar concentrator comprising disubstituted benzoheterodiazole compounds

Process for the impregnation of a polymer substrate including at least one polymer, which comprises putting said polymer substrate in contact with at least one aqueous emulsion, preferably an aqueous microemulsion, including at least one organic additive. The impregnated polymer substrate obtained from said process can be advantageously used for obtaining polymer end-products having improved aesthetic characteristics (for example, impregnation with at least one dye) or stability characteristics (for example, impregnation with at least one stabilizer), which can be used in various fields such as, for example, the optical field (e.g., advanced optical components, laser applications), the medical field (e.g., the release of pharmaceutical substances), the agricultural field (e.g., release of pesticides), fragrances (e.g., release of fragrances). More specifically, said polymer substrate can be used in luminescent solar concentrators (LSCs) which, in their turn, can be advantageously used together, for example, with photovoltaic cells (or solar cells), or photoelectrolytic cells, in solar devices (i.e. devices for exploiting solar energy). Furthermore, said luminescent solar concentrators (LSCs) can be advantageously used together, for example, with photovoltaic cells (or solar cells), in photovoltaic windows.

Process for the impregnation of polymer substrates

A catalytic composition for the selective oligomerization of ethylene and a process for preparing light linear (&#x3b1;-olefins, especially 1-hexene and 1-octene, starting from ethylene, using this composition, said composition comprising the following components: (A) a compound of a transition metal M of Group 4 of the periodic table; (B) an organic compound containing the sulfonic group (&#x3e;SO) bonded to two carbon atoms; (C) a hydrocarbyl organometallic compound of a metal M' selected from elements of Groups 1, 2, 12, 13 or 14 of the periodic table; components (A), (B) and (C) being in such a quantity that the atomic ratios respectively of the metal M in (A), of the sulfur S in the sulfonic group of (B) and of the metal M&#x2032; in (C), respect the following proportions: S/M=(from 0 to 20)/1 and M&#x2032;/M=(from 2 to 2000)/1, on the condition that when the compound of the metal M in component (A) is not a sulfonic complex of M, the S/M ratio is greater than 0.5, preferably greater than 1.

Catalytic composition and process for the selective oligomerization of ethylene to light linear alpha-olefins

A process is described for the purification of lanthanide carboxylates which comprises a step in which the hydrocarbon solution deriving from the synthesis of lanthanide carboxylate, containing said carboxylate and impurities of the corresponding carboxylic acid and/or water, is treated with an aqueous solution of a base in order to obtain a pH of the aqueous phase ranging from 9.0 to 12.2 and/or a step in which the hydrocarbon solution containing lanthanide carboxylate is treated with a solid selected from NaSO, MgSO, Mg(ClO), molecular sieves 3 &#x212b;, molecular sieves 4 &#x212b;, molecular sieves 5 &#x212b; and molecular sieves 13 X. Analytical methods are also described, which allow the purity of the lanthanide carboxylates to be non-destructively measured.

A solid catalyst component for the polymerization and copolymerization of ethylene and alpha- olefins, containing a metallocene supported on an inorganic solid carrier constituted by a porous silicon oxide, the supported metallocene having the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein M is a group of metal, R' and R' are dialkylamide groups, R'' has the same definition as R' or is a cyclopentadienyl consisting ligand, and A is an anion containing an .eta..sup.5 -cyclopentadienyl ring coordinated to metal M, and wherein a carbon atom of the .eta..sup.5 -cyclopentadienyl ring of anion A is covalently bonded to the surface of the porous inorganic solid carrier.

Supported metallocene catalyst for olefins (co)polymerization

A supported metallocene complex of a metal M selected from Ti, Zr or Hf, is prepared by a process comprising, in a first step, the reaction of an inorganic carrier containing hydroxyl groups with a compound (II) containing a cyclopentadienyl group and at least one alkoxysilane group reactive with said hydroxyl groups so as to chemically bind said cyclopentadienyl group to said carrier; and in a second step the reaction with a complex of said metal M capable of reacting with said supported cyclopentadienyl group without carrying out any intermediate metallation of the latter. This process is simple and convenient, and enables high concentrations of metal stably bound to the carrier, to be reached. The complex thus obtained can be used as solid component of a catalyst active in the polymerization of .alpha.-olefins, in the presence of a suitable co-catalyst, preferably consisting of an organo-oxygenated derivative of aluminum.
