A method for automatically determining a location characteristic of a wireless access point includes (1) receiving, via an array of at least three antenna elements of the wireless access point, a first neighboring wireless communication signal from a first neighboring wireless access point, (2) determining a location of the first neighboring wireless access point, and (3) determining the location characteristic of the wireless access point at least partially based on (a) the location of the first neighboring wireless access point and (b) difference in phase of the first neighboring wireless communication signal between the least three antenna elements of the wireless access point.

Systems and methods for automatically determining a location characteristic of a wireless access point

Systems and methods provide for use of spectrum emission masks to allow for two or more devices to coexist on a common communication bandwidth. The spectrum emission masks may include one, two, or three interior attenuation regions that, when implemented by a transmitting device, significantly reduce the transmission power in the interior attenuation regions. The interior attenuation regions may transmit to interior channels that separate one, two, or three outer channels of a plurality of channels spanning the common communication bandwidth.

Systems and method for wireless communication over a common wireless bandwidth

A method for automatic management of a wireless access point includes (a) changing a minimum modulation coding scheme of the wireless access point from a first minimum modulation coding scheme to a second minimum modulation coding scheme; (b) determining a first change in performance of the wireless access point in response to changing the minimum modulation coding scheme; and (c) in response to the first change in performance of the wireless access point meeting a first threshold condition, continuing to operate the wireless access point in the second minimum modulation coding scheme.
