Apparatuses for producing and dispensing a reaction mixture include a mixing head for mixing the reaction components that are fed via two supply lines. The apparatuses also include a decompression system to relieve pressure from the supply lines to avoid the reaction components seeping into the mixing head. The decompression system includes two pressure vessels each with two sides, separated by a membrane. One of these sides forms an expansion chamber for the reaction component while the other side is connected to a pneumatic system. With this pneumatic system, the expansion chamber can be pressurized before the production of the reaction mixture is started. After the production of the reaction mixture, the pressure can be relieved.

Apparatus and method for producing and dispensing a reaction mixture

Dispensing system for dispensing a mixture of a first component and a second component, the dispensing system comprising: (i) a dispensing gun comprising an inlet body with a first passage for feeding in the first component under pressure and a second passage for feeding in the second component under pressure, the first and second passages respectively comprising a closable first outlet and a closable second outlet, which may be operable by means of a handle or trigger of the dispensing gun; (ii) a static mixing nozzle, detachably connectable to the outlets of the body and provided for mixing and dispensing the components, the static mixing nozzle comprising a first section containing a first chamber and a second chamber for conducting the first and second component respectively and a second section, subsequent to the first section (in forwards flow direction), containing a mixing chamber with static mixing elements which promote mixing the first and second components and conducting the mixture to a nozzle tip serving as an outlet for the mixture. According to the invention, at least one of the first and second chambers of the static mixing nozzle contains a series of static backflow prevention elements, arranged for hindering backflow of the respective component within the respective chamber.

A caulking gun for dispensing viscous material does not have any freeloop. A brake device is in the first and in the second position inclined relative to the axis of the push rod and a release device pushes the brake device in a third, essentially perpendicular position relative to the axis of the push rod in order to disengage the push rod from the brake device for pulling back the push rod and for acting simultaneously on the push device in order to disengage the push rod. Because the brake device is inclined in the first and in the second position due to the action of a spring acting on one end of the brake device and clamps the rod so that any freeloop (because the brake device does not clamp the rod in the upright position) is avoided.

The present invention relates to a caulking gun for dispensing viscous material comprising In order to provide an adjustable caulking gun with at least two different levels of retreat of the push rod giving the user easily a visual feedback of the chosen retreat of the push rod, it is proposed according to the present invention that the adjusting means are configured as a rotatable wheel with a slope, the rotatable wheel being positioned on the axis of the push rod between the stock and the brake means, the distance between the highest point of the slope and the brake means defining the retreat of the push rod. This rotatable wheel allows the user to select the level of retreat of the push rod by turning the wheel between a first position with no retreat of the push rod and a second position with a maximum retreat of the push rod resulting in a anti-drip behavior of the caulking gun.
