A system for processing photoacoustic and ultrasound imaging data includes processor(s) and memory storing program(s) configured to be executed by the processor(s). The program(s) include instructions for: obtaining ultrasound imaging data representative of an ultrasound image of the object, performing a speed of sound value optimization operation based on the ultrasound imaging data for facilitating image reconstruction, and performing an image reconstruction operation. The ultrasound imaging data is obtained from a system for photoacoustic imaging and ultrasound imaging.

System and method for photoacoustic imaging and ultrasound imaging

A handheld device for photoacoustic microscopy. The handheld device includes an optical assembly, a light beam scanner and a transducer unit. The optical assembly is arranged to provide a light beam. The light beam scanner includes a reflector arranged to reflect the light beam from the optical assembly to provide a reflected light beam to an object, a first drive mechanism operable to move the reflector relative to the optical assembly to move the reflected light beam relative to the object, and a second drive mechanism operable to move the reflector relative to the optical assembly to move the reflected light beam relative to the object. The transducer unit is arranged to detect photoacoustic signals emitted by the object in response to receiving the reflected light beam.

Handheld device for photoacoustic microscopy and related photoacoustic microscopy system

A method of making a magnetically-drivable microrobot that is suitable for carrying and delivering cells includes photo-curing a photo-curable material composition to form a body of the magnetically-drivable microrobot. The photo-curable material composition includes a degradable component, a structural component, a magnetic component, and a photo-curing facilitation composition including a photoinitiator component and a photosensitizer component.

A system for providing multi-wavelength laser includes an optical splitter arranged to split light received from a pulsed laser source into at least a first light beam and a second light beam; a first optical regulator arranged to adjust a wavelength of the first light beam and to output the adjusted first light beam; a second optical regulator arranged to introduce a time delay to the second light beam and to output the delayed second light beam; and an optical combiner arranged to combine the adjusted first light beam and the delayed second light beam, and to output a combined light beam.
