The present disclosure relates to the technical field of display, and provided thereby are a display device, a flexible display panel and a manufacturing method therefor. The flexible display panel comprises a flexible substrate and a plurality of pixel islands arranged in an array on the flexible substrate; the pixel islands have a display region and a peripheral region surrounding the display region, and each pixel island comprises a driving layer, a first electrode layer, a light emitting layer and a second electrode layer that are sequentially stacked on the flexible substrate; the first electrode layer comprises a first electrode located in the display region and a peripheral electrode located in the peripheral region; the peripheral electrode surrounds the display region, and a surface of the peripheral electrode away from the flexible substrate is provided with a barrier structure surrounding the display region, a preset spacing being present between the barrier structure and the display region; and the light emitting layer is intermittently provided in a region directly opposite to the barrier structure and a region located within a range of the preset spacing.

A light emitting element, includes a first light emitting layer and a second light emitting layer sequentially stacked; and an intermediate layer between the first light emitting layer and the second light emitting layer, and being in direct contact with the first light emitting layer on one side and in direct contact with the second light emitting layer on another side. Each of the intermediate layer, the first light emitting layer, and the second light emitting layer includes a same host material. The intermediate layer is a non-light emitting layer, and is an undoped layer absent of a dopant for emitting light. The light emitting element is configured to emit a composite light including the first light of the first wavelength range and the second light of the second wavelength range. The first wavelength range includes wavelength longer than the second wavelength range.

A display panel having a plurality of subpixels is provided. The display panel includes a base substrate; a plurality of light emitting elements on the base substrate; and a quantum dot layer on a side of the plurality of light emitting elements away from the base substrate. A respective one of the plurality of light emitting elements includes a first light emitting layer and a second light emitting layer sequentially stacked. The first light emitting layer is configured to emit a first light of a first wavelength range. The second light emitting layer is configured to emit a second light of a second wavelength range. The plurality of light emitting elements are configured to respectively emit a composite light. The quantum dot blocks of different colors are configured to respectively convert the composite light into light of different colors respectively in different subpixels.

The display panel comprises a plurality of pixel units arranged in an array, wherein each of the pixel units comprises: an array substrate comprising a pixel driving circuit; a pixel defining layer disposed on a first surface of the array substrate and having a via hole wherein the first surface is far away from a substrate of the array substrate; a light emitting unit disposed in the via hole, wherein the light emitting unit is electrically connected to an output terminal of the pixel driving circuit, so that driving current output by the pixel driving circuit drives the light emitting unit to emit light; and a photoelectric converter configured to receive the light emitted by the light emitting unit.

The array substrate includes a base substrate, comprising a plurality of sub-pixel regions and inter-sub-pixel regions between adjacent sub-pixel regions; and a first organic functional layer on the base substrate. At least a portion of the first organic functional layer is in the plurality of sub-pixel regions; and the first organic functional layer includes at least one fracture opening, the at least one fracture opening is configured to block a transportation of the carriers between adjacent sub-pixel regions.
