The present disclosure provides a flexible container (). In an embodiment, the flexible container includes a front panel (), a rear panel (), a first gusseted side panel (), and a second gusseted side panel (). The gusseted side panels adjoin the front panel and the rear panel along peripheral seals () to form a chamber. The panels form (i) a top portion, (ii) a body portion, and (iii) a bottom portion. The top portion comprises a neck () and a fitment () in the neck. The front panel comprises a front handle () extending therefrom and the rear panel comprises a rear handle () extending therefrom. The front handle and the rear handle are in opposing relation to each other, the front handle and the rear handle extending over the first gusseted side panel.

The present disclosure provides a flexible container. In an embodiment, the flexible container includes (A) a front panel, a rear panel, a first gusseted side panel, and a second gusseted side panel. The gusseted side panels adjoin the front panel and the rear panel along peripheral seals to form a chamber. Each peripheral seal has (i) a body seal inner edge (BSIE) with opposing ends, (ii) a top tapered seal inner edge (t-TSIE) extending from a top end of each BSIE, (iii) a neck seal inner edge (NSIE) extending from a top end of each t-TSIE, (iv) a neck arc extending between each NSIE and t-TSIE, and (v) a plane (N) extending through each neck arc. Each NSIE forms a neck angle with the plane (N), and the neck angle is from 45&#xb0; to less than 90&#xb0;.

The present disclosure provides a flexible container (). In an embodiment, the flexible container includes: a front panel (), a rear panel (), a first gusseted side panel (), and a second gusseted side panel (). The gusseted side panels adjoin the front panel and the rear panel along peripheral seals () to form (i) a top portion, (ii) a body portion, and (iii) a bottom portion. The top portion comprises a neck () and a fitment () in the neck. The top portion comprises a top handle () extending above the fitment, the top handle having a reciprocal attachment member (). The bottom portion comprises a bottom handle () and a tether () extending from the bottom handle. A distal end of the tether has an attachment member (), the attachment member adapted to secure to the reciprocal attachment member.

The disclosure provides for a method including: a) forming a layered tubular member () by placing one or more outer layers () about an inner layer () and joining at one or more seams () along a length of the layered tubular member, wherein the one or more outer layers include a first resin impregnated therein; b) applying the first resin or a second resin at the one or more seams; c) creating one or more fillets () along the one or more seams with the first resin, the second resin, or an adhesive; and d) curing the first resin, the second resin, and the adhesive so that the layered tubular member, the first resin, the second resin, and the adhesive form a composite structure having a tubular shape.

Tubular composite structures and methods of molding such structures

The present disclosure provides a process. In an embodiment, the process includes (A) providing a fitment with a base having a wall thickness (T). The base comprises an ethylene/a olefin multi-block copolymer. The process includes (B) placing the base between two opposing multilayer films. Each multilayer film has a respective seal layer comprising an olefin-based polymer. The process includes (C) positioning the base and opposing multilayer films between opposing seal bars. Each seal bar comprises (i) a front surface, (ii) a recessed surface a distance (x) behind the front surface, the recessed surface having a first end and an opposing second end. Each seal bar comprises (iii) a curved surface at each opposing end. The curved surface extends between the front surface and the recessed surface. Each curved surface has a radius of curvature (Rc) greater than or equal to distance (x). The process includes (D) heat sealing the base to each multilayer film.

Process for sealing flexible fitment to flexible film

A multi-layered composite mold structure () is provided. The multi-layered composite mold structure () comprises a multi-layered member including (a) at least one metal heating layer (); (b) at least one metal heat distribution layer (); (c) at least one laminate composite layer (); and (d) a surface layer (). The present disclosure provides a flexible container. In an embodiment, the flexible container includes a first multilayer film and a second multilayer film. Each multilayer film comprises an inner seal layer. The multilayer films are arranged such that the seal layers oppose each other and the second multilayer film is superimposed on the first multilayer film. The multilayer films are sealed along a common peripheral edge. The flexible container includes an orifice in one of the multilayer films, and a pop-up spout extends through the orifice. The pop-up spout has a flange sealed to the multilayer film around the orifice. The pop-up spout comprises an ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin multi-block copolymer.

The present disclosure provides a flexible container. In an embodiment, the flexible container includes a first multilayer film and a second multilayer film. Each multilayer film comprises a seal layer. The multilayer films are arranged such that the seal layers oppose each other and the second multilayer film is superimposed on the first multilayer film. The multilayer films are sealed along a common peripheral edge. The flexible container includes a fitment. The fitment comprises a base. The base comprises a polymeric blend of from 60 wt % to 90 wt % ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin multi-block copolymer and from 40 wt % to 10 wt % high density polyethylene (HDPE). The flexible container includes a fitment seal comprising the base located between the multilayer films. The base is sealed to each multilayer film at a portion of the common peripheral edge.

The present disclosure provides a seal bar. In an embodiment, the seal bar comprises a base member having a flat front surface and a flat recessed surface a distance (d) behind the front surface. The front surface defines an x-axis, X. The flat recessed surface has a first endpoint (A), wherein an axis that is perpendicular to the flat recessed surface at the first endpoint (A) defines a first y-axis (Y). The seal bar has a concave surface extending the distance (d) between the first endpoint (A) and a point (B) on the flat front surface. The concave surface defines a quadrant arc segment of an ellipse between the first endpoint (A) and the point (B).

The present disclosure provides a flexible container. In an embodiment, a flexible container is provided and includes a first multilayer film and a second multilayer film. Each multilayer film has an inner seal layer. The multilayer films are arranged such that the seal layers oppose each other and the second multilayer film is superimposed on the first multilayer film. The multilayer films are sealed along a common peripheral edge. An orifice is present in one of the multilayer films. The flexible container includes an extendable spout extending through the orifice. The extendable spout has a flange sealed to the inner seal layer of the multilayer film at the orifice. The extendable spout is composed of, or is otherwise formed from, an ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin multi-block copolymer.
