Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, otherwise known as a user equipment (UE) may transmit a data transmission to a receiver. In some examples, the data transmission may be a radio link control (RLC) protocol data unit (PDU) transmission. The UE may store the data transmission in a retransmission buffer, and transmit a feedback request to the receiver in a subsequent data transmission based on a system memory utilization threshold for the retransmission buffer being satisfied due to storage of the data transmission.

System memory flow management

The present disclosure relates to a user equipment (UE) dynamically adjusting a non-access stratum (NAS) timer. Specifically, the UE may determine operation in a wideband and support of an extended coverage (EC) restriction. The UE may further identify a duration of a non-access stratum (NAS) timer based on determining operation in the wideband and the EC restriction. The UE may further transmit an access request message to a network entity to trigger a mobility management procedure. The UE may further receive an acceptance message from the network entity indicating an unrestricted or restricted status of the EC restriction. The UE may further apply the duration to the NAS timer based on the acceptance message indicating the unrestricted or restricted status of the EC restriction received from the network entity or a history of EC restrictions of a public land mobile network (PLMN) in a defined geographic area.

Techniques for user equipment (UE) dynamically adjusting a non-access stratum (NAS) timer in a wireless communication system

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a control message indicating a resource configuration for uplink and downlink transmissions. The UE may determine an uplink buffer threshold for a modem buffer of the UE based on the resource configuration. The UE may transmit, to the base station, a feedback request message requesting that the base station provide feedback for at least one previously transmitted uplink packet based on a comparison of an amount of previously transmitted uplink data and scheduled uplink data stored in the modem buffer relative to the uplink buffer threshold. The UE may receive, based on transmitting the feedback request message, a feedback response message corresponding to a first previously transmitted uplink packet of the at least one previously transmitted uplink packet.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine, via a first subscription of the UE, a trigger event for a conditional handover of the UE from a source network entity to a target network entity. In some aspects, a multi-subscriber identity module (SIM) user equipment (UE) may communicate, using a first SIM, on a plurality of component carriers. The multi-SIM UE may select a first subset of component carriers from the plurality of component carriers based at least in part on a component carrier prioritization. The multi-SIM UE may identify an amount of memory available to a second SIM. The multi-SIM UE may tune away, based at least in part on the amount of memory available to the second SIM, from a second subset of component carriers The first subset of component carriers may be different from the second subset of component carriers. Techniques for carrier prioritization in multi-subscriber identity module features

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Techniques are described to enable wake-up signal (WUS) error handling at a user equipment (UE). The UE may detect an error pattern when attempting to receive a WUS from a base station based on a configuration for receiving the WUS. For example, the base station may transmit the configuration for receiving the WUS to a set of UEs including the UE. Based on detecting the error pattern, the UE may perform a mitigation operation based on determining the error pattern, such as waking up multiple cells to receive a transmission indicated by the WUS, transmitting a radio link failure indication to the base station, etc. Additionally or alternatively, the base station may transmit multiple WUSs to the UEs, such as a first WUS according to the configuration and a second WUS according to a reconfiguration.

In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The method for wireless communication at a user equipment may include receiving, by a user equipment (UE), a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) retransmission timer, the HARQ retransmission timer indicates a time interval, identifying, by the (UE), data for uplink transmission, and starting, by the UE and after expiration of the HARQ retransmission timer, a random access procedure to obtain an uplink grant for the data.

Method and apparatus for configuring uplink hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) retransmission timer for narrowband communications

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment may determine that a reselection timer has an expiration time that is to extend an active period of a discontinuous reception (DRX) cycle; determine whether to extend the active period based at least in part on at least one of a set of serving cell measurements or a duration that the expiration time is to extend the active period; and selectively extend the active period or enter a sleep mode without extending the active period based at least in part on determining whether to extend the active period. In one aspect, a method is provided which may be performed by a wireless device such as a user equipment (UE).
