A card riser for an information handling system includes a bottom surface, multiple connector slots in physical communication with the bottom surface, and a locking mechanism in physical communication with the bottom surface. Each connector slot is configured to receive a corresponding connector of a different one of multiple cards. When the locking mechanism is in an unlocked position, a different one of the cards is inserted within a different one of the connector slots. When the locking mechanism is in a locked position, the locking mechanism is placed in physical communication with each of the cards to securely hold the cards within the card riser.

A chassis for housing a computing device of an information handling system includes a receiving portion of an expansion card receiver that receives an expansion card and operably connects the expansion card to another component of the computing device while the expansion card is received by the receiving portion. The chassis further includes a management portion of the expansion card receiver that receives a force from a user and, in response to receiving the force: transitions the management portion from a first state to a second state. In the first state, a handle, that enables the expansion card to be removed from the chassis is disposed inside of the management portion and the expansion card receiver is locked to the chassis. The baffle is in the first position in response to only a first one of the components being located within the component portion, and the baffle is in the second position in response to both the first component and a second one of the components being located within the component portion.

An information handling includes a plunger that secures a server planar board within the information handling system. The plunger includes a nut, a body, a rod, and a cap. The nut tightens toward the body and holds the server planar board between the nut and the body. The rod securely holds the server planar board within the information handling system in response to the plunger being in a locked position, and enables the server planar board to be removed from within the information handling system in response to the plunger being in an unlocked position. The cap includes a handle to provide a surface for a force to be exerted to cause the plunger to move from the locked position to the unlocked position.
