Various examples with respect to visual depth sensing with accurate and full-range depth fusion and sensing are described. A control circuit of an apparatus receives a plurality of sensor signals that are heterogeneous in type from a plurality of sensors. The control circuit generates first depth-related information of a scene and second depth-related information of the scene based on the plurality of sensor signals. The control circuit then fuses the first depth-related information and the second depth-related information to generate a fused depth map of the scene.

Method and apparatus of depth fusion

Various examples with respect to infrared (IR) patter characteristics for stereo matching are described. A control circuit of an apparatus controls an IR projector to project a patterned IR light. In response, the control circuit receives first data of a left image of a scene from a first camera and second data of a right image of the scene from a second camera. The control circuit then performs stereo matching of the left image and the right image to generate a depth map of the scene. The patterned IR light satisfies one or more characteristic requirements.

IR pattern characteristics for active stereo matching

A device receives a standard command. The device judges whether an address field and/or a data length field and/or a data field of the standard command includes at least one of a vendor command, a vendor data and a checkword. The device judges whether the address field and/or a data length field and/or the data field of the standard command matches a vendor predetermined pattern. If matched, the device performs a vendor operation based on the vendor command and/or the vendor data of the standard command.

Operation method for a computer system

An external device includes a bridge and a storage device. The bridge is connected to a host according to a first data transmission interface so as to convert data of the host from the first data transmission interface to a second data transmission interface. The bridge includes a memory unit and a control unit. The memory unit stores a virtual device datum. The control unit generates a virtual storage device in the host according to the virtual device datum. The storage device is connected to the bridge for storing the data of the host according to the second data transmission interface.
