A mounting apparatus includes a bracket (), a first rail member () and a second rail member () to secure a storage device () therein. The bracket comprises a first side wall () and a second side wall () each defining a slot () therein. A protrusion () protrudes outwardly from each of the first and second side walls of the bracket. The first and second rail members are attached to both sidewalls of the data storage device. Each of the rail members comprises a body () and a hook () formed at an end thereof. A pair of posts () protrudes outwardly from the body. The posts slide in the slots of the bracket, till the hooks of the rail members hook the protrusions of the first and second side walls of the bracket. Thus the data storage device is secured in the bracket.

Mounting apparatus for data storage devices

A computer enclousure includes a chassis () and a drive bracket (). The chassis has a pair of side plates (). Each side plate has a pivot (). A pair of washers () is respectively attached to the side plates of the chassis. Each washer has an arcuate guiding slot () concentric with the pivot. The guiding slot has indented edges with a series of retaining recesses () defined. A pair of pivot arms () is attached to the drive bracket for pivotably engaging with the pivot. Each pivot arm has a sliding rod () for sliding along the at least one indented edge of the guiding slot. When the drive bracket is rotated about the pivots of the chassis, the drive bracket can be retained at different angles with respect to the chassis with the sliding rods retained by the different retaining recesses.
