A color filter having a bi-layer metal grating is formed by nanoimprint lithography. Nanoimprint lithography, a low cost technology, includes two alternatives, i.e., hot-embossing nanoimprint lithography and UV-curable nanoimprint lithography. Manufacture steps includes providing a substrate with a polymer material layer disposed thereon. A plurality of lands and grooves are formed in the polymer material layer, and a first metal layer and a second metal layer are disposed on the surfaces of the lands and grooves, respectively. Finally, a color filter having a bi-layer metal grating is obtained.

Color filter and method of fabricating the same

Lift-off method and half-tone photolithography are used to fabricate LCD TFT array plate. Only two photo masks are used to respectively define a first and a second metal layers to accomplish the LCD TFT array plate.

A TFT array substrate includes a substrate, a patterned first metallic layer, a patterned stack layer, a patterned dielectric layer, a patterned transparent conductive layer, and a patterned third metallic layer. Elements of each TFT in the TFT array substrate are arranged vertically, so that the TFT array substrate has relatively small fabrication area and is operable with a high conducting current. Further, the storage capacitance can be enhanced by enclosing or sandwiching the second metallic layer with the common lines and the transparent electrodes. In such a way, pixel flashing caused by those coupled signals can be reduced, thus promoting displaying quality thereof.

A pixel structure of an active device array substrate is provided. The pixel structure includes a scan line and a data line; an active device electrically coupled to the scan line and the data line; a pixel electrode electrically coupled to the active device, wherein the pixel electrode has at least one opening therein; and at least one island electrode disposed inside the opening, wherein the island electrode is electrically coupled to a voltage V, and the pixel electrode is electrically coupled to a driving voltage Vthat is different from the voltage V, such that a transverse electric field is formed between the island electrode and the pixel electrode.

An organic light emitting diode (OLED) with a brightness enhancer. The OLED comprises a substrate having a first surface and a second surface oppositely. An anode electrode is disposed on the first surface of the substrate. An organic light emitting layer is disposed on the anode electrode. A cathode electrode is disposed on the organic light emitting layer. A brightness enhancer is disposed on the second surface of the substrate.

The light-guide module for emitting particular polarized light beams includes a splitter for separating non-polarized light beams, a transformer for converting polarization of light beams, and a non-polarized light source. The non-polarized light source emits light beams. Particular polarized light beams pass the splitter and other light beams are reflected by the splitter. Polarizations of reflected light beams and of light beams emitted by the non-polarized light source are converted by the transformer so as to separate the light beams later. Thus the light-guide module for emitting particular polarized light beams loses relatively little light energy.
