A light diffusion member includes a matrix and a number of quantum dots uniformly dispersed in the matrix. The matrix is made of epoxy resin and ammonium persulfate. The quantum dots have a mass percentage of about 10% to about 20% of the total mass of the light diffusion member. A light emitting device using the light diffusion member and a display device using the light emitting device are also provided.

An optical film to visually reduce frame size of individual display units within a single large display includes four film portions connected to each other to form a rectangular frame of each individual display unit. The bottom surfaces of the micro-structures are connected to each other. The first side surfaces and the second side surfaces are obliquely connected, the second side surface of one micro-structure being at the outermost side of each film portion. A light-emitting device includes a base and a light source and a diverging unit placed on the base. The diverging unit has a divergent lens and a diverging ring. The divergent lens includes a light incident surface, a light exiting surface, and a side surface. The side surface is connected to the light incident surface and the light exiting surface. The divergent lens defines a receiving space and the receiving space extending into the divergent lens from the light incident surface towards the light exiting surface. The light source is received in the receiving space. The diverging ring is positioned on the light exiting surface and in-line with the light source so that the diverging ring reflects light from the light source transmitted through the divergent lens in multiple directions.

A light source module includes a light source and an optical lens assembly covering the light source. The optical lens assembly includes an optical lens, a reflecting member located on the optical lens, and a reflecting film formed on the reflecting member. The optical lens includes a main portion and a protruding portion protruding upwardly from the main portion. The reflecting member is conical. The reflecting member is invertedly located on the protruding portion of the optical lens. A tip of the reflecting member is inserted into an inside of the optical lens from the protruding portion. The reflecting member has a top surface and an outer circumferential surface. A center of the top surface of the reflecting member is recessed inwardly, whereby a concave surface is formed. The concave surface oriented upwardly and outwardly relative to the light source. The reflecting film is distributed on the concave surface.

A lens includes a bottom face, a light incident face defined in the bottom face, a light emerging face opposite to the bottom face and a lateral face connecting the light emerging face with the bottom face. An optical axis extends through centers of the light incident face and the light emerging face. The light emerging face includes a plurality of sub-light emerging faces discontinuous from each other. Each sub-light emerging face has a concave face adjacent to the optical axis, and a convex face away from the optical axis.

In each sawtooth, an angle between the first surface and the incident surface is over 90 degrees. The second surface and the incident surface cooperatively define an acute angle. The acute angle increases from the top surface down to the bottom surface and causes the redirection of early morning sunlight up to a ceiling of a room or building containing the window glass.

The stepwise portions are located at or near a periphery of the light exit face and each stepwise portion has an annular flat surface. A plurality of micro patterns are arranged on the flat surface of one stepwise portion to scatter light exiting from the periphery of the light exit face. A light source module incorporating the lens is also provided. The light source module includes an LED light source. Light from the LED light source enters the lens from the light incident face and leaves the lens from the light exit face after the light is divergently refracted by the lens.

A lens includes a main lens, a first light-diffusion capping layer and a second light-diffusion capping layer formed on the top of the main lens in sequence. The main lens includes a light incident surface and a light exit surface opposite to the light incident surface. The main lens defines a recess in the top thereof, and the recess is located at a central region of the light exit surface and recessed inwardly toward the light incident surface. The first and the second light-diffusion capping layers are received in the recess, and the second light-diffusion capping layer is located over the first light-diffusion capping layer. A refractive index of the first light-diffusion capping layer is smaller that that of the main lens but larger than that of the second light-diffusion capping layer. A backlight module source incorporating the lens and the LED light source is also provided.
